    Retired players

I dont know if I missed it but I am surprised nobody is complaining about retired players in franchise. In one of previews they said fixes were made. I think is worst.
The following players retired becausw of ability wven though the still had years left in their contracts.

    Ian Kennedy
    Jason Vargas
    Homer Bailey
    Rich Hill
    Chase Utley
    Matt Albers

and a couple like Ervin Santana that are still in good shape.

Anyway to avoid these? Maybe raising their potential?

Another option is to take some players in single-A and turn there age to 45 and should fix the problem preventing veteran players from always retiring. I would do quiet a few in each division turn them to 45 and see what happens. You can always turn your draft players back into real single a players.

Raising potential won't be nearly enough. You are going to have to raise his attributes to 99s
's after the season is over but before you go to retired players screen. Write down what their end of season attributes were and fix them back after retired players screen goes away. I had Bartolo Colon play until he was 48 doing this. Previously I thought everyone had to retire at 45 but apparently not.
