Where do you think we stand on an editor?

    Any known attempts at this?

Anybody here affiliated with SDS? Any chance they would release anything more comprehensive than the in-game editor?

An external editor would be brilliant for the historical crowd. Being able to enter stats and edit service time would contribute a layer of realism that is sorely lacking.

    My opinion-
I have no reason to think SDS has any inclination or extra personel to spare to implement. But I'd love it if they did.

What we'd need, is to have access to the various save files, and then to map out the data structures. Then, we modify files on computer, and put them back in.

I'm not sure the last time this was attempted, but the extra steps do make it more tedious. Having a viable ps4 emulator would make this a lot simpler.

We'll have the emulator some day and then more skilled people can make graphic updates and uniform slot overwrites with created and saved DD custom unis if my understanding is correct. No more nauseating New Era or MLB logos on the belt loops.

The Madden PC and NBA2k communities did some amazing things.

The possibilities with this series are endless when paired with the amazing history of MLB.

As someone who was rating MVP baseball way back when, the tools available to us then were incredible. We had save editors that could be used to rate an entire league in a day, instead of several weeks.

If I were a dev, with my hands tied around things like licensing, I'd give out a lot more bones to the modders to help finish the job. There are so many things we're blind about.

It took ten years before people could crack the Wii enough to make better roster editors for MLB Power Pros 08. And it's still a work in progress.

I'd buy a dev kit right now, if that's all it took.

              Wish it was that simple!
