    A single Trade deadline

According to this article MLB is going to just a single trade deadline day THIS YEAR which likely means there will no longer be a waiver period from July 31st to August 31st. I highly doubt they will be able to change this in game before release, Any chance for a patch? My guess is we'll have to wait until Next Year

A single trade deadline, an All-Star Game election day and a million-dollar bonus for the Home Run Derby winner will be implemented beginning this season as part of a deal reached between MLB and the players' union.
    NFL- Minnesota Vikings
    MLB- New York Mets
    NHL- New York Rangers
    NCAA- West Virginia Mountaineers

In MLB 12 they didn't implement the wild card change with a lot more notice so I doubt it. (Can't confirm until tomorrow my pre order copy is arriving a day late).
