Can someone confirm that this works? I have set the team (Angels) that I want to control to user profile and the other 29 have a different profile ( CPU ).
When I start Franchise, it takes me to the Orioles first game. I don't see a "sim' option on that screen.
So, have I missed a step?
I only want to play games with the Angels but I want to be able to correct the other 29 teams lineups. Some of those lineups are way out of whack.

Use the R2 trigger to move to the Angels. Up arrow to the calendar press “x” select view today’s games. You can sim all the games you don’t want to play. You can set the lineup for each team, but the CPU may make changes.

Thank you for the help dolfan. I finally figured out the R2 after I submitted the question. And, once you play the first game with the team you want, it starts defaulting to your team's next game on the schedule as the opening option to play franchise. So, it basically acts like a single control franchise on game 2 and forward.
