Assigning manual Injuries in a roster?

If you look under user settings>gameplay options>General>Advanced, and you go through the options under "injuries" you'll see there's a "manual" option. Anyone have an idea of what this means or how it is used?

The only injuries that occur are the ones you add. It can also remove injuries that have previously occurred as well.

Go into the disabled list for the team you want to add an injury to. If I remember correctly, there is an option to go to the screen where you then select the player then the injury and the duration.

The pathway once you get to the DL may not be 100 percent like I said but it will be intuitive once you get on the disabled list screen. Sorry at work so I can't go into my game to see.

I can't seem to find the disabled list screen, I figured you could just go under roster control and somehow add injuries from there. I'll keep messing around with it to see if I can figure it out.

You can only do this in franchise mode.

I am in Franchise Mode also and I have the setting to manual but I cant figure how to get the option for the players to come up and select them for DL.
