Just as far as overalls go, id personally find a way to get Yelich's up to around a 93 or 94. Feels wrong to have Grandal and Cain rated above. Theyre both great as well, but Yelich is obviously better.

I really wish overall ratings were hidden. overall doesn't mean everything and doesn't tell the true story.

I agree, and i think regardless Yelich plays like he does IRL. But in the game, trade value and contract demands are influenced by overall. But hey, if im controlling the brewers maybe im better off with them being low.

Curious as to how you rated speed? I noticed Altuve has 71 spd and Trout has 95 spd.
Per Statcast Running Splits last season for 90ft, Altuve ran a 3.77 and Trout a 3.76.

The only rookie was German and oddly enough his was the lowest. Aaron Judge was batting .230 and had 0 HRs and 7 RBIs. I simmed again and got largely the same result. Do these work best when actually playing the game or when all teams and players are edited?

Altuve's got a bum knee this year Is there an explanation of SDS's ratings somewhere?

To get the best results you should have them all rerated. So if you just input the yankees ratings I can definitely see some wonky things happening.

Three year averages were used for speed, with the most recent year receiving the most weight. Statcast's percentile rankings for average sprint speed were used:

If a player ranked in the 90th percentile or above, his speed is his percentile in the calculation. If he doesn't, his speed is his percentile minus 10.

                Trout:
                2018-29.2 ft/second, 94.2 percentile rank = 94 speed
                2017-29.3 ft/second, 96.3 percentile rank = 96 speed
                2016-28.9 ft/second, 93.8 percentile rank = 94 speed

                Altuve:
                2018-28.1 ft/second, 77.6 percentile rank = 67 speed
                2017-28.3 ft/second, 81.2 percentile rank = 71 speed
                2016-28.4 ft/second, 85.5 percentile rank = 76 speed

Setting 25 as the minimum was done to help baserunner AI logic. Last year, 5 was the minimum. 25 seems to help players make more consistent baserunning decisions in terms of knowing when to take an extra base or stay put.

                    Overall discussions are always fun

Yelich could be a 99 by year 3 of your franchise

He will almost certainly be a 95 by year 2

The spreadsheet keeps changing and now everyone is missing and its blank. Am I the only one experiencing this? I was just curious because I am using the data to do my own variation.

What do you guys have for Clint Frazier? His hitting ratings in the Official rosters are ridiculously bad. Almost useless.

Just noticed.... Almost the whole Rockies staff is missing from the sheet you shared. Other notables missing are Danny Salazar, Alex Meyer, Dinelson Lamet, Carson Smith, Giovanny Gallegos, Nick Margevicius, Colin Poche... No clue what happened with the Rockies guys but thinking maybe not playing last year is why those other guys I listed are absent?

Just pointing out... I have no problem adjusting them on my own after you guys do 99.99% of the other guys work anyway lol
