I'm confused with editing pitch speeds. Please Read.

Ok...Im doing edits for all my Vets to IMPORT them to MLB 19....and I notice something confusing. Pitch VELOCITY is changed on a scale from 1-100 like all attributes....but how come on Changeups and some curves the velocity doesn't change or barely changes. For instance....a player has a 90mph Fastball and a 77 mph CHANGEUP. Well...when I try to edit the CHANGEUP to 77 it doesn't work all the time. Sometimes it won't move the VELOCITY and other times it may move 1 or 2 mph. Also....on 1 player the rating may be 35 on a 80mph changeup.....but then another player will be completely different despite the attribute being the same. I known this may sound confusing and hard to understand....but I have to try and see if anyone has answers.

On real players its a lot easier to set attributes on pitches but created players is a whole other story. I will try to explain this as simple as I can.

On created pitchers the highest you can go is 88 and the change up slider is backwards as far as the MPH goes. You can set a FB, SL CB etc on a created pitcher but the change ups numbers are flawed. You sometimes half to set your speeds in then once u get to the last pitch go back over the above ones to adjust numbers again to get the number your trying to get to if this makes any sense.

It has been asked by seanjeezy, WTNY and myself along with others over the years for SDS to fix this how the real pitchers are, But 7 years later and it's still the same as it always been.

What I do is just make the change ups 0 for speed then enter in your control and break. You sometimes can get the correct MPH say its a 84 mph change up etc these are capable of doing.

I want to like this game but it's a colossal convoluted mess with so many modes it's mind boggling.

Yeah created pitchers are pain in the butt editing their pitches. The speed moves up and down when I change other pitch so I gotta go back and forth to get where i want them. Why can’t they just have them set like the SCEA pitchers, where every pitch are locked from a speed to speed and we can simply move it around where we want it instead of doing it 50 times before it’s finally set lol.

And yeah Changeups are the worse in the created pitchers. They don’t go any lower than 84mph and hardly ever go any higher so we’re basically outta luck with changeups for created pitchers as they’re almost always off.

I agree. This is why I use 0 speed on change-ups most of the time, I dont even waste my time trying to get them all what they should be I sacrifice the changeup speed to have all the other other pitches with correct speeds.
