No worries, no bubbles bursted. You basically just said everything I just said, but with more analytical talk.
So we're basically agreeing. I just highlighted that he's been red hot at the plate the entire month of June, that's all.
Not saying he's projected to be a future star in Cincinnati, as I pointed out, his glove has always been considered his one plus tool.
He was never 100% last season, so I didn't hold 2018 against him. He went on the DL for two months just two weeks into the season with a wrist injury, and then a week after coming off the DL, went back on for 5 weeks due to another injury. He never really had a legitimate chance to show what he could do, or find his footing.
Still, we’re finally seeing some progress at the plate for Rodriguez. Cutting down on the strikeouts has certainly helped (striking out just 12.5%.) More contact usually leads to more hits. And at least for now, that’s exactly what has happened for the shortstop.
Hoping the Reds call him up to AAA in the second half of the season, so I can see how he fares against better competition.
By the way, have completed 14 teams so far Daonlyjmo. Also, have been able to squeeze in a few more 2nd round picks.
All the transactions are up to date up to the Yankees/Mariners deal, so note that down, because I haven't been keeping up since that deal.
