How do you guys handle the draft after you're well into your franchise?

How do you guys handle the MLB draft after you're deep into your franchise?

Do you roll with the fictional players provided by SDS in their draft?

Do you start over and use a created roster from the vault that contains draft picks?

Do you edit the fictional picks provided by SDS and do your best to create their likeness (name, attributes, ratings, appearance) of who that team drafted?

I edit the fictional players name, position and general likeness.. i dont mess with ratings usually

Once I start my franchise, it is my world so I roll with what SDS gives us. I do some edits to draft picks but not to match real baseball.

I personally think the game-generated guys have WAY more character. Draftees have way more ratings extremes, a huge variety in names, and a terrific variety in looks.

This thread does give me an idea though; I actually think it would be fun to sim a franchise far enough ahead to where all (or at least most) 'real' players have been purged and then start playing games from there with all game-generated guys. I did that one year on Madden and it was a BLAST.

I did that last year. I created a full roster of my own from 3-4 twenty year out sims. Took a lot of time but I have a carryover franchise with it and it is a blast.
