    Also if a player split time between AAA and AA I would do a 15% or .15 reduction.
    Minor League stats I've found an increased percentage reduction for each lower level helps with the accuracy.

    AAA - .10
    AA - .20
    A - .30
    RK - .40
    FWIW you can eliminate a step, I've done it this way the last few years:
    AAA = X .90
    AA = X .80
    A = X .70
    RK = X .60

    example:74X.9=66.6 (67)

      Could you give an example on how to calculate it? I’m trying to figure out how to properly rate Derek Jeters fielding (1998)...most classic rosters seem to rate him too high.

          Anyone done something similar with Durability (Games Played) and Base Running Aggressiveness (SB Attempts)?

          Michigan Wolverines

            PS9119 from the classic rosters thread has a simple system he uses.

              Re: Accurate Attribute Spreadsheets

              I’ve been able to match up almost all player attributes with corresponding stats. Fielding has been a great source of frustration. I may have something close . If you take the “def” score from fan graphs and add or subtract to 76 (not sure why) it statistically comes close if you throw out some outliers. For instance a player had a year with a def of 10 that would correspond to a score of 86 (10+76). A negative 10 would give you a score of 66. Now on to reaction and arm. Ugh. Anyone else have anything?

                Re: Accurate Attribute Spreadsheets

                Using my condensed formula ( tested vs def field) th short answer is adding 76 to whatever def score. So, in 1999 jeter had a 6, so his show def should be 82.

                    Should be fairly straight forward and self explanatory. For most accurate results, use a 3 year average of each stat.

                    Minor League stats I've found an increased percentage reduction for each lower level helps with the accuracy.

                    AAA - .10

                    A - .30
                    RK - .40

                    I hope this helps some people, Enjoy.

                      I’m Japanese watching Japanese baseball over the years. Instinctively, if they are from Japan, giving them AAA ratings will be appropriate. If they are from Korea, AA or between AAA and AA will suit them as players from Korea often tend to make much less impact in Japan.

                                This looks amazing…but:

                                Has anyone created a roster and run a franchise based on this?

                                If so, how did the stats work & more importantly how did the game play? Are slider adjustments necessary to seem realistic?

                                Thank for your time.
