You are talking over 3,000 players that were created. Doing faces for every single player would have taken months.Comment

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
I was wondering how do I get the teams that you created extra for people. I have the Illini roster but I was wondering how I could get Purdue or any of the other teams that people have asked you to create because I don't see any other teams in the roster vault.Comment

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
I said this once before, these are amazing you did such a great job. For the team Im playing (fictitious Long Island) I made my players age 21 for freshman 22 for sophomores and so on. That way I know when they graduate.
Thanks again, love them.
I have actually decided to make some improvements, so I will be releasing another version of the roster.
After getting through a few seasons I realized there would eventually be issues.
The problem:
- the game fills in the 40 man rosters when you load into franchise, and it will also add real life MLBers to the 40 man after a season.
This can become problematic after a few years, because I doubt anybody knows every single college roster included in the game and nobody wants to spend time looking them up.
The Solution:
- All college players will have a prospect rating of A, B or C. All MLB players will have a prospect rating of D or F. This way whenever the game fills in the 40 man rosters you will quickly, and easily, be able to determine which players to take off of each teams 40 man.
Also included:
Every MLB player will have a 10 year 300k contract (most of them already did, but I'm going to make the change to every player). This way it will be a pretty true college game. You won't have to spend time in the off-season signing players. You also will not have to bother signing rookies from the draft, as your rosters will remain full. So pretty much the only players you will have to deal with to sign is college players.
I know these rosters are not perfect, but this was the first year doing them. Next year I am going to have these things very fine tuned, and you can expect an even higher quality roster. I also should be able to have it out very close to release day of the Show 21. Is it too early to start counting down the days?Comment

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
I figured out how to trade players to teams I want so I can get the geographical divisions I want. Now I’m finishing up creating South Carolina, Clemson, NC State & Dallas Baptist. Question, once I get rosters set and start spring training will my rosters mess up as the regular season begins? I read on another thread where people’s franchises had the rosters change & didn’t stick. I would be pissed after spending over a month on this division and teams creation process. Is it best to skip Spring Training?Comment

You mean minor league players as well? Can you still play ST and it not mess up rosters before the regular season?

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
I found this on a team’s projections site. Pretty good to go along with how Hold That Tiger creates players with his scale.
Just as scouts grade prospects using the 20-80 scouting scale, we use a 20-80 scale to evaluate teams in our top 25. A score of 50 in each category is average, relative to a typical NCAA tournament team; 55 is slightly above-average; 60 is above-average (plus); 70 is well above-average (plus-plus); 80 is top of the scale, historically strong. Accordingly, 45 is fringe-average or slightly below-average; 40 is below-average; 30 is well below-average; and 20 is the extreme in that direction.Comment

Cannot express how incredibly thankful I am! This will give me the opportunity to play out Arkansas' missed season and just makes me so happy. Buying the game this year primarily just to use your amazing rosters.Comment

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
I wanted to ask how you figured out ratings for the players and how those ratings are working out? I was planning on doing one (or multiple) older college seasons, but wasn't sure how to create the ratings.
Thank you and glad you have the Beavs on there.Comment

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
Example:
Player A: Average of .280, .315, .325 -
6 HRs, 8 HRs, 7 HRs -
2 SB, 6 SB, 4 SB
I would assign him a grading scale of 80 contact, 60 power, 20 speed.
An 80 grade would equal like a 75 contact rating, 60 grade like a 60, 20 grade like 40 speed.
Then from there I looked up preseason previews for all conference, all American, etc. If they were all conference they got bonus ratings, all American even more, etc.
Top draft prospects got A ratings. All other starters got B, the rest C.Comment

Re: 30 Team College Rosters - Complete!!!!
Version 2 has an easy fix. All college players will be between ages 18-23. They will also have potentials of A, B or C. All real MLB/minors players will have ratings of D. So when you the game auto adds to your 40 man roster, you can simply go in and remove the D rated guys to your 40 man. The C and above potential should be on your college team 40 man.Comment
