Default franchise rosters are a mess!!!

I am new to rosters. How come the rosters look fine before you start Franchise mode and then they are a hot mess after you start a Franchise. I thought by loading the default or live rosters into memory before starting a franchise it would use those rosters but it didn't. Can someone explain to me why this is? Thanks in advance.

Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?

You may need to elaborate a little bit. What issue(s) are you having? What are you considering "a mess"?

Basically lineups are all good and set before I start a new franchise season. As soon as I start a new franchise the are not reflecting the same lineups. To give you an example Gio Urshela is leading off and starting at SS.

The computer is gonna set things up the best way it sees fit to win games. Sometimes its logical, and sometimes its not. It may be a pain in the ol' behind, but all you need to do is set it up how you want.

I was hoping Sony had hired the dev's some helping hands what with another 1500 players to work on but it looks like Sony did the same thing most bosses do: pile more work on to a few workers back. and if there is any thing the last few years have taught us, the SDS staff is already too small and stretched thin. this doesn't bode well when they start adding more consoles for the Show.

Exact. Can tell you, from a AAA studio point of view, a new powerful console like the PS5 ( and don't forget they’ll port it to Xbox as well) is causing lot more work and requires more devs, artists. We’ll see some quick win like framerate, display resolution and some lighting effect but to make full use of all the power of the console, we remastered all the object meshes, all the textures etc.

We’ll save the discussion for later during fall on pre PS5 launch hype but for sure they’ll need more money injection just to make it an on-par PS5 version, an Xbox port, an actual downsize to PS4 and not even counting all the improvement to different modules and the roster.

My educated guess would be to not expect too much on franchise rework for next year but more on lighting, mood and effects, actual stadiums graphics, more detailed textures and maybe the new player model.
