    Player ratings

I just noticed that some players have Diamond Dynasty attributes.

For example: Yasmani Grandal has a 114 discipline and Joey Gallo has a 102 power vs RHP and 104 power vs LHP.

Does anyone have an explanation as to why these kind of numbers would leak into normal rosters?

      Re: Player ratings

Developers have stated in the past that their ratings calculations produce numbers beyond 100, but they're truncated at 99 for the game release. Perhaps this truncation didn't occur for some reason.

The discipline rating is one where you can really tell, because you typically have a large number of players at 99...in reality these players were probably calculated out between 100 and 120.

I don't mean to be melodramatic, but I think there's a solid legal case to be made there. It's straight up deceitful. And I can't imagine any alternative use of the word "full" that they could try to spin

It's odd... the company must make bazillions in profit - they can't afford to pay just one or two people to be like "yo... the Yankees should probably have Kevin Alcantara and Alexander Vargas..."

          It's blatant false advertising.

yeah, they're walking a fine line here. I'm as gear-grinded as anybody about Single A though I'm content with AA & AAA rosters but I still want to devil advocate for the Studio. maybe in their mind since Single A isn't playable and isn't even a league in the Show, and they do have full minor league rosters for the International and Pacific Coast as well as the Southern, Texas and Eastern leagues, all of the Show's minor leagues are full. I never expected high A or low A or short-season or rookie leagues to be added in 20, and while maybe there are people who did expect that, IMO that's not a reasonable expectation.

I'll freely admit my argument may be weak and irrelevant in my opinion of it being an unreasonable expectation for someone to feel they were misled (in thinking all of the minor leagues would be added to 20), and I honestly dont mean that disparagingly.

I do however think a case could be made for a reasonable expectation that Sony led people to believe Single A would have no fake players too. and maybe my opinion is wrong here too

Who was responsible for the rating potentials LMAO. There are top 100 prospects with D potential??? Really, a quick look at a prospect list could show you where their potential should be. It's really not rocket science. Just hire someone from here full time who can do a 1000% better job.

I think for MLBTS / SDS to "advertise" their "full minors" - yeah, that's on them. It's false advertising. Even under "normal" circumstances, the impression I get is they still would not have had them all. That's totally on them for giving tons of commercials and ads on something they had to know simply wasn't true. Now, I think things are further ahead than in the past, but it's still a false deal.
