    Teams Based on Birthplace

I'm trying to come up with a coherent story/roster for bringing a "new team" into a franchise.

So far, my favorite brainstorm is to create a team (of course, this could be done for all 30 teams, but I lack the energy for that!) that consists of players who were all born in or near the same location.

Question 1, what would that location be?
Question 2, any good place to quickly get/sort information about where players were born?

In other words, for example, I find a team's worth of solid players who were born in Iowa (current rosters), bring them over to my new team, the Iowa ???, and see if I can prove that Iowa has the best players!

    Thoughts?
