Cycloniac's Ratings Generator for Drafted Players

As I progress through franchise, it has dawned on me that there are many issues with the players generated for drafts. I wanted to improve the logic for the drafted players, as well as fix the issues and lack of variety I've encountered with them.

    Issues such as:
-Overage draftees (there are many 22 year olds, longstanding bug)
-Pitchers often not having fielding ratings in line with default rosters
-Inflated steal ratings and tendencies for hitters, regardless of player makeup
    -Inflated potential ratings
-Inconsistent durability ratings for position players

So, I created this sreadsheet to generate ratings for drafted players:

There are two tabs: one for hitters and the other for pitchers.

Both tabs feature the draftee age corrector. You should enter the draftees initial OVR and potential.

The hitters tab will calculate ratings based on position, potential, hitting approach and handedness. You will also get a snapshot of how this player could develop based on the 20-80 scale.

The pitcher tab generates ratings based on role (starter, reliever, closer), potential and the pitcher's best per 9 rating. The best pitching prospects will tend to rely on what made them successful in college/international amateur play. However, you will find that a pitcher may decide to change his approach as he enters the minor league system too. A reliever who relied on limiting base hits may decide to focus more on generating whiffs, for example, and his k/9 attribute may become his bread and butter.

The pitcher tab also randomly generates a fielding percentage for pitchers, which gives fielding ratings.

Let me know what you think, and if you encounter any bugs I haven't squashed.

Cycloniac - how do I edit the document? It only allows me to view it in read mode.

        I have a few questions:

        1. So is this ratings calculator now replacing the - 20 for 21+ and -30 for below 21?

        2. Is this ratings calculator applied to every draft pick?

        3. Would this make every draft pick who is possible a SP, 18 years old and 90 potential the exact same player other than the place they were born?

I want you to know I am no way nitpicking - your work is PHENOMENAL - I’m just trying to get clarification.

          Yes

Yes. I am only doing rounds 1-3 personally, and I'm not doing any draftees with D potentials.

          3. Would this make every draft pick who is possible a SP, 18 years old and 90 potential the exact same player other than the place they were born?
No. You will get unique results every time. The calculators are powered by a randomization system that is influenced by user input.
