MLB The Show 20 Default Roster Spreadsheet

Since it looks like there will not be carry over saves or rosters for MLB 21, I noticed a lot of people saying they will stick with MLB 20.

As I was updating my rosters, it was driving me crazy trying to move players around, especially the Minor League guys because I didn't know who they were or if they were on the right team, got released, or traded, etc...

So I opened up a google spreadsheet and put every player from the Default roster in it. What team they were on, their positions, Secondary positions, Overall rating and Potential. I also listed all the players in the free agent pool as well.

This way, you can move players around and see which ones are fake players, and which ones are real.

The players in the free agent tab I listed their current team.

I was thinking of creating a new column for each team to track which players moved and which are free agents.

I could also check the last update that SCEA put out and list the missing players from the default roster.

Let me know what you guys think.

Tabs for each division are at the bottom. Good Luck editing everyone. I am currently editing the last SCEA Live Roster update and adding my pitch edits.

I finished updating all the players and what their 2021 team is.

I think the next step will be to post which players are missing from the default roster. Maybe mark players that are Non-Roster Invitees.

nice going and the good thing about the default rosters is it has Ohtani as a pitcher it was a pathetic choice how they changed him to a position player because you can't even use him as a pitcher that way

I remember when the game first came out last year, they had all the options screwed up where everyone had 1 option left or something. They must have patched it because it doesn't happen when I load the default roster.

In the update I am working on, Ohtani is not a 2-way player. To fix that, is there a Ohtani in the vault that you can download so he is a 2-way player?

Or will I need to edit the default roster, add missing players, and then start my franchise? I always liked editing the default rosters, but it doesn't have the players who were called up or show their progress during the season.

Perfect example is Randy Arozarena. He's rated 73 in the default roster but I think an 86 in the last update.

Sadly there is not any decent Ohtani in the vault there is a few but only one is a pitcher and doesn’t look Great

I got no idea why sds changed him it was the only way to get him to two way, you can’t get a position player to pitch they have no attributes, 3 years now and still can’t get the Ohtani thing right and find a way to screw it up! This time it was as right as can be you could pitch him
And DH him. Now the two way player is useless making him a position player. That should never have changed this there needs to be a option for us to change position guys to pitchers and vice versa.

So yeah the only way to have two way Ohtani is default roster then add players that’s a lot of damm work though. I was so pissed when I seen what they did with ohtani, all because lf a 60 game season the guy was gonna pitch if it was 162 game season
