That thinks this is ridiculous? I mean the game releases 3 weeks later than usual, you cant download a roster from the vault, you cant save SOTS, the guy who is supposedly working with the studio that is doing Full Minors is saying 2 weeks for release? Why? Why aren't the rosters correct on release day? We are 3 weeks past opening day. Where is the patch or how does it get by simple tech testing that we cannot even edit or download a playable roster from the vault I guess I am just a sucker because this is ridiculous and I basically wasted 90 dollars on a defective item that the tech team refuse to acknowledge. Just venting, hopefully I am not blocked but I cant be the only one who feels frustrated

Yes, Y2Y saves and roster imports are gone and yes, you can't download rosters right now. Sure, there are maybe some other issues, depending on what's your preference. But I'm sure it's not because tHeY aRe LaZy or some bs like that.Comment

Seriously chill.
We can't import rosters so we have to remake all the players fro scratch. 2 weeks is a massively aggressive time line.
The vault roster bug is really bad, I'll give you that. Individual player files and be downloaded w no problem tho.

You know I can understand the 2 weeks. No problem. My issue is the guy that is telling us 2 weeks works with SDS. Why isn't the roster good on day 1. Its 3 weeks past opening day. The game is advertised as having Full Minor Leagues. If anything I am saying is false then fine I am wrong. I know the work that has to be done, my question is if he is working with SDS then why isn't the roster complete now. What exactly is that team doing during production? Maybe I'm wrong he doesn't work for SDS or collaborates with them. But I swear I heard SDS say special thanks to Ridden and his team. The sad thing is we cant even download any other roster because the "team" failed to do quality control on their game before releaseComment

I think it is more or a consulting thing that anything else. They don't get access to the game before we do. They don't get to use their dev software to make players. SDS also probably pulls a lot from the previous year roster file. It would make sense as ages are wrong on a lot of the top prospects.

I think it comes down to licensing. They can make the guys on their own. But when it comes to working with SDS. I think licensing plays a big part in why the rosters at launch arent great

Well I'm done venting. Its just a wait a see. Its just frustrating that we as a community are held hostage and have to bend down and kiss butt when they actually finally patch what was supposed to be put out originally. I'm sorry there just isn't an excuse to release a game with this many bugs. Where is quality control? He works with them only to a point. They collect input from Ridin but they don’t use the Full minors roster. They use a a few of their ( I say their because although ridin is the face of the rosters, there is a team of guys who work on it) ratings and faces for non scanned players . The full minors roster is a completely independent project outside of SDS. While I completely get your frustrations about the vault not working right now, I still think it’s pretty impressive that Scott and the guys are setting an ambitious timeline of 2-3 weeks considering roster import was all but wiped outComment

I understand people are used to it prior to SDS implementing full minors, but this is ridiculous.
Dont advertise full minors if it's not.
How is the vault not functioning for this long? Couldnt even start my chise with an updated prospects roster if I wanted to. Launch is a mess.Comment

I completely understand being fired up about this..
I guarantee you that the game will never release with a major component of DD/micro-transaction system not working. The first step of playing franchise was broken and we had to tell them there was a problem. That means they didn't spend even 5 minutes testing franchise from the customer experience side.
People like to call them lazy, and others are right that it's inaccurate and mostly meant to be hurtful. A better term is incompetent - They absolutely stink at their job. Not coding a baseball game, bugs on launch are expected, but "their job" is to not allow such a simple issue to make this many people feel more marginalized than they already do.
Every frivolous, self-indulgent feature I see while playing makes me wonder how great franchise could have been if they spent more time on it instead of of dancing in mo-cap suits holding a sign.
I don't want to hear about getting a refund, it's not about the game not being worth playing. SDS is basically like a genius that decided to become the worlds best Walmart greeter. I don't want them to stop greeting, they just shouldn't be so proud of themselves.. They should have done so much more.Comment

I definitely get the frustration. As for the full minors roster, Ridin and his team collaborate WITH SDS, they don’t make the minor league rosters FOR SDS. Ridin and his team don’t get full control over the minor league players to do it all their way. The roster coming out in 2 weeks is their’s without any interfering from SDS, where they make all the decisions.
The roster vault bug is definitely brutal. Guess it shows where their priorities are now launching a game with 2 significant broken features that of course don’t affect online play. Really thought they’d have something for at least the vault today. It’d be nice if they’d at least come out and say something about it, let us know they are aware of it and working on a fix rather then silence. It’s been days now, give us something.
Not a good first impression if you’re an Xbox player, excited to finally get ahold of the Show then quickly discovering broken features and then finding out there’s still been zero communication from the devs on it.Comment
