Just playing devils advocate here. But NBA teams employ a roster size of about 15 to 18 players. MLB teams carry a roster size of 26 plus minor leagues, plus free agents. There is a lot more player files in the show then NBA 2k21, so it very well could be a memory issue with entering exact birth dates. So I am willing to give them a pass.

What I am not willing to give them a pass on is face scanned players who have the wrong ages ported over from old games. While I am appreciative they have more prospects face scanned then ever, porting over their info to save time is flat out lazy and makes MTO and franchise un-immersive. While I don’t think this was their goal, I certainly think it was done to cut corners and save time.

Also, while I understand not having face scans because of Covid, I am completely baffled as to why no 2020 draft prospects are in the game. I understand there was no minor league season but some of these guys were at their teams alternative sites last year. Spencer Torkelson is the #1 pick in baseball. Could you imagine NBA 2k21 releasing without Zion Williamson included in the game. I know last year 2k released without the updated rookies because the draft wasn’t until like November, but once the draft took place they at least added generic versions of the rookies.

This is not nba 2k or the nba. These players will never be in until the year after. One year ago, we just got any sort of minor leaguer. No we’re demanding to have every single minor leaguer?

Did I ever say “every minor leaguer”. No. Your just exaggerating for exaggeration sake, which you do often on this forum.

I am talking about making an exception for the top guys who reported to alternative sights last year. I am not even asking for face scanned players. Just give us some form of a generic version of them

Alternate site or not, none of those guys appeared in an official game, and therefore legally can't appear in the video game.

We have hundreds of minor leaguers on the base roster who never played in “an official game” last year. The minor leagues were cancelled. So what’s your point?

Great job and list I would continue. The reason for the most part things didn't get fixed like thus kinda stuff is nobody did a list. I know its there responsibility before games shipped, but its been 3 or 4 years since I did a height and weight list I used to every year. I got it to the right person and yes they fixed them it might take a few updates but they did eventually get fixed.

Again like I said I'm not making any promises, but all I can do is try once there is a full list made

Me and my roster team are currently going over heights and weights on the current roster but only for players listed on the 40 man rosters. We may look at all players eventually, but from my experience SDS only cares about players on the 40 man rosters.

Did they ever acknowledge it last year? Anyone have twitter or any contact info of the devs?

I’m less concerned with heights and weights and more concerned with the abundance of wrong ages. Has this been addressed before in previous versions?

and a lot of people on here told me I was stupid thinking the default roster wouldn't be perfect and to chill... I told you you won't get a perfect roster till June or July.. not only that you might not even be able to download a damm roster till then anyway with no vault working.

madden 13 killed that franchise mlb 21 is killing this franchise badly. the xbox thing hasn't helped at all. it's killed many features and this game is really turning into nothing but MUT mode push along now just like madden and FIFA. it is the beginning of the end.

I have two thoughts on this.......

1) how SDS literally advertises “full minors” out of the box now with incorrect ages and NOT full minors is insane to me. Side note, that is not a knock on ridin and his crew. I know they help. I literally wouldn’t but this game without them making their rosters.

2) it’s incredible how SDS doesn’t even give us the option to edit these prospects ages. That honestly cannot be that hard.

I am more so shocked the big name 2020 draft prospects are not featured. You could definitely sell a future stars spencer torkelson card to the DD crowd. A lot of prospects have face scans this year which is cool, but Spencer’s torkelson already looks like a generic white guy. Just give him the generic player treatment and let the creators fix it

Heck, MLB should provide this for them/be on them to promote these young potential stars. They comoletely missed the boat with the Trout, Machado, Harper group. They are slowly marketing Acuna, Tatis, Soto, etc.

They need to be on this.

The Show does not have Shogo in but I saw on the MLB players union twitter feed , last year, that he was being face scanned. They had pictures of him in the booth with all the cameras and lights but somehow he still isn't in the game. But plotwtist, He also was not in RBI Baseball game. So this kinda tells you there is a backend reason as to why he isn't the game that isn't based on SDS. Shogo was actually added to RBI Baseball about 6 days ago in their newest update so I'm interested to see if he's added in to MLB now.

And I love your what you expounded on . But this should also push forward the idea that there is a reason that not ONE draftee is in the game. Other than Crochet, who even has a facescan, but also has service time. I think what we can all be annoyed SDS doesn't do is just continue to scan and add players in throughout the year like nba 2k does. I know they can do that because they've added Guerrero and Tatis on year.

So in summation, I think its safe to assume they can't start the year with draftees in. But we can all ask that they add them in once they get playing time, approval, or whatever the benchmark they need is.

Yeah it’s the union. It was the reason Barry bonds was Reggie Stocker. Barry Bonds was actually not a member of the players union. So I would say your more than likely right about them providing the requisite paperwork and pay outs.

But I just can’t fathom why someone would not want be included. Obviously the monetary compensation is probably very small, but does a player like Shogo think he is more valuable then Mike Trout. You could argue maybe in Japan he is, but Japan has their own baseball video game from what I understand. Plus ohtani was in the show before he ever played a major league game and I would have to assume he is a much bigger star in Japan than shogo
