Question about Potential/Development in Franchise Mode

Curious what other roster makers have to say about this:

I am working on rescaling potentials and have a decent formula in place based on WAR & WAR/600PA, but I am a still on the fence about how to best implement it.

The general plan is to rate prospects on their FV, young big leaguers on their projected WAR, "prime" players on a combination of previous seasons & projections, and post-prime big-leaguers solely on past performance. My biggest hiccup right now is where to draw the line between age groups.

So the main question: at what age do player's typically (I understand there will be some variance) stop progressing in MLBTS Franchise mode?

I would like to avoid have 30-32 year olds grow too much if I base their potential on past performances. One example is Kris Bryant, who comes out as a 95 potential if I rate him as a "post-prime" player. That seems a bit high given his past few seasons, so maybe 30 is still "prime"?

Curious if anyone has some feedback

Re: Question about Potential/Development in Franchise Mode

here's what I will go with:
      10% - A potential - (78 players)
      35% - B potential - (273 players)
      35% - C potential - (273 players)
      20% - D potential - (156 players)
      780 players total - 55% C&D potential, 45% A&B potential - (70% C&B potential)

what I need to do now is find out numbers for prospects with no mlb Service Time and less than 40 days ST

I want to create a roster with 10% A Potential players,
20% B Potential players, 30% C Potential players, 40% D Potential players, all at the MLB level

        which would be 78 A's, 156 B's, 234 C's, & 312 D's, 780 total players

does that sound like too many of any of the grades, or too few, or about right?
I would say that may be too many Ds at the MLB level.

thanks, after I really looked at what I had, the numbers going from C to D ought to go back down, not up.
I think what I'll do is count the A B C & D potential players numbers in 22 at the MLB level

          EDIT:
ok, so I wound up counting every AL player not a free agent on the default roster that had at least 40 days service time.
I wanna count NL and free agents later but for now here are 582 AL players
(there are 600 players on 40 man rosters, each league, 1200 total)
          AL players potential tally:

          A - 65 - 11% - A
          B - 194 - 33% - B
          C - 196 - 34% - C
          D - 124 - 21% - D
          F - 3 - less than 1% - F
