With todays news on Tatis… I really think we are looking at him not being in release day rosters since he wont play at all this season.

What a shame, ****ing idiot… I hope they void his contract.

Maybe, maybe not. We'll have to wait and see. They're really inconsistent about it. There were a lot of guys missing on launch, but there were other players out for all of 2021 that made the roster on launch, like Kirby Yates and Mike Soroka for the Braves. Could go either way.

He will be on there hes to much of a high profile player like

        Alex Rodriguez
        Ryan Braun
        Manny Ramirez
        Nelson Cruz

There's a few more but the above were still on the game.

That was before full rosters though with real AA AAA and A players.

the reason they remove players suspended lately is to create more slots for players that are actually playing. There are no fake players anymore

They removed him from the Padres roster, he's still in the game in DD. It is pretty ridiculous they removed him from the Franchise roster though. Even if he's suspended, he's the level of player that people might want to play with. At least give them the option. He took a steroid. He didn't kill someone.

It's so dumb, if you want to remove him from play now live games fine, but don't remove him from the game altogether! I was planning on restarting my franchise with yesterday's rosters but since he's gone i guess i have to continue mine. It's only a suspension, do they not think people play multi year franchises? If there reasoning is he won't play this season then remove everyone who's out injured for the year too. Makes no sense when they kept Laureano in all season.

On the plus side, Minor League players are apparently voting whether or not to be represented by the MLBPA in collective bargaining. If they do unionize, it's possible that The Show will do a licensing agreement with them as well, which would mean former major leaguers in the minors could still be in the game.
