Maybe having accurate options causes problems with the roster logic. We have no idea what a simple fix is, something that seems simple to us could cause a bunch of other problems under the hood that we do t know about

I’ll agree with what you’re saying. Maybe things are more complicated than meets the eye. But it would be nice for them to just say that then

Plus it’s not like roster logic is already very good

So before anyone claims this guy was banned unfairly, I will post the part of the TOS he violated. It's also always a helpful reminder for all.

Also important to keep in mind this guy was justly banned, allowed back in and within weeks is blatantly violating the TOS again. Not really smart.

We allow all opinions on Operation Sports. But if you want to be negative, it needs to be constructive. Bashing a game developer is not constructive at all, for any reason. Bashing a game period is not constructive. Whining/complaining/acting like a middle schooler is not constructive. If you want to be constructive, say what is wrong with the game specifically. Any negativity that is not constructive will not be tolerated.

Correct, and this is why there's a high chance they won't be able to patch in the new playoff format. It might break a lot of things.

That’s something I’m surprised they weren’t prepared for, the potential for expanded playoffs was pretty well known but I think the fewer playoff teams the better so I’m not complaining about no new playoff format. Ideally we’d get to customize playoffs how we want and I can go back to the old 3 division era plus one wildcard format

While there was a lot of talk around expanded playoffs, no one knew exactly what they might have looked right. There were 14 team proposals and 12 team proposals thrown about. Add in not knowing about best of 3 or whatever and it's perfectly understandable why they couldn't have had multiple options built and then just select the one they wanted to implement.

I do agree with you that I hope one day we do get the option to customize the playoff format and divisions. I'd love to have the option to go back to the old two division format without the wild card. They also need to give us the option to pick how many games of a season we want to play and with or without interleague play. All those options would be so welcomed.

anybody know why Mariners Julio Rodriguez would have zero MiLB options?
anyone remember how many options he had in Show 22?
fangraphs says he has all 3 left but I dunno how accurate that is

He should have all 3 since he wasn't was never sent down after the M's added him to the 40-man. Not that he's really under serious consideration to get demoted. I wish they were editable in-game

ok, thanks.
maybe that's why he's given zero options, to combat deficiencies in the cpu logic, to prevent him from being sent down by Seattle and the M's trying to keep someone else on the 26-man that was less deserving. I dunno, but that's the only logical explanation I can figure

Or at the least, automatically make every player with 5 years service time have zero options. Really makes roster logic not be any where near realistic when you can just send any 35 yr old down to the minors. Yet another thing I have to manage on my own.
