Player Portrait Changing to CPU version?

Hiya all...Hope you are all well.
    Wonder if anyone can help.
Re-started a NEW franchise : using the latest Roster update---However I noticed that Aaron Judge -(still the SDS version with an official Player Card)--however looking at the "in game scoreboard" the same player has a "Generated Face" (not his Portrait as previously)?
Can anyone help with this...I didnt have this before restarting with the latest Roster?
    Very annoying

Players who are sent or brought up from minor leagues don’t get their real life photo. Big bug that still hasn’t been fixed.

Gosh.....No Way?.....Even the Players that are already in the Game?
Ohhhhh, so in my PREVIOUS Franchise, when I started as the NYY --Judge was "in" but now because the new update he`s injured , it wont show you his propper face?
      Thats bonkers
And yes....that probably infuriates me more than it should a 52 years old man.....lol.....but thats beside the point?

Sooooo how can I re fix this?
I want to use the update with the Face Scabbed Elly De La Cruz, but NOT lose the Judge?
      Any thought s anyone.
      Thank you

In my experience it’s been hit or miss adjusting the roster first, saving it, and then starting a franchise with the saved version. I recently started a Yankees franchise using the roster that started with Judge injured and in Triple-A. I made all my adjustments first, and Judge did get the proper portrait, HOWEVER some other guys in the same situation did not - like Loaisiga. His portrait turned into a cartoon face. So I don’t know.

Thank You so much for the replies.
So essentially ANY players (even STAR players) that are in AAA (due to injury) need to ne put BACK into the MLB BEFORE starting the Franchise.
            Thank you guys.

Anyone know of any good "up to date" Rosters (with more realistic ratings than the defaults)----

Hiya buddy. Greetings from the UK.
Noticed you were a Yankees fan..may i ask what ratings you would put for Rodon?
Seems really high? Would you change any attributes to make him more realistic (if he is indeed over rated)
              Thank You
              Johnny

Yes, and I think there also may be a connection between whether a player had been removed from the 40-man roster as part of putting him in the minor leagues due to injury and whether he gets his portrait back. Seems like guys who were taken off the 40 don’t get their portraits back even when you add them back before starting your franchise.

                  Hi Johnny,

Yep, Yankees fan here. And I agree, Rodon’s OVR seems high. He’s got such a small sample size this season though, since he just came back from his injury right before the All-Star break, that it’s hard to know exactly where to adjust. I would say to maybe compare his ratings to the ratings of a comparable pitcher and see where the differences are. Or the lazier option might be to just bump each one of his primary attributes down one click at a time until his OVR drops below Cole’s.
