Re: MLB THE SHOW 24: 2024 OPENING DAY ROSTER BY HOUSTON

    Lastly,

MLB takes a Lil longer to do because this is the foundation and we want this level to shine and definitely matchup 100% exactly what opening day was. Obviously on main menu these will be but once you start a franchise with these things get jumbled up. I will have the real 40 man roster set for all 30 teams so this should help.

I believe AAA and AA should be a Lil quicker doing with MLB level already done. There will be some missing players I'll half to create and add I'm sure but I'm just not going to spend to much time perfecting each one that needs to be created.

Right now the focus is to get the foundation built MLB - AAA - AA then I could be done with project or can look into what faces might need some editing but I might not focus to much on that this year and if needed maybe only do some faces by request.

I just want to get this completed and out soon but mistake free and 100% accuracy I always provide in my rosters. The most important factor is setting these with a solid accurate foundation.

    Thanks,

    H.B.

Whoever did the WHITE SOX & NATIONALS ought to be fired.

I get 1 or 5lbs off or wrong but some of these are way off. Whats crazy all the other teams match up almost perfectly, so why are these 2 teams so wrong?

Add the BREWERS to the list of players height and weight discrepancies. Almost ever player was wrong!

What are you basing the height/weight information from? I'm asking because I was just looking at the official Brewer's media guide and it is different from your printouts. Also, remember that this information is self-reported a lot of times and can be inaccurate for multiple reasons, especially when talking height.

For as long as I've been doing rosters I always use teams official website so with MLB it's always mlb.com and MiLB.com.

Yes if you compare players to other sources baseball reference, espn fox sports etc.. etc...your going to get different numbers.

MLB The Show base there's off mlb.com because data is shared and there partnership with mlb.com, mlbpa and Sony, Microsoft etc...(I have talked with developers and still do occasionally behind the scenes)

For whatever reason or who was assigned those 3 teams do not match up well with data at the time because the other teams done so far matched up 100%.

I don’t really care much for this as I use the cartoon picture makes the game look more authentic too me .. You can do this by adding fantasy draft off on too start the franchise then hopping off the draft ..

                  As of May 15, 2024

Michael Grove, Andy Pages and Gavin Stone have established themselves as key contributors to the Los Angeles Dodgers and were recently rewarded with new jersey numbers.

Grove, who had been wearing the No. 78 since making his MLB debut in 2022, is now wearing the No. 29. He is the first Dodgers player to wear that number since Austin Wynns in 2023.

Meanwhile, Pages has changed his jersey number to 44. He had been wearing the No. 88 since making his big league debut last month. Pages is the first Dodgers player to wear the No. 44 since Andre Jackson in 2023.

Stone also changed his jersey number to 35. He had been wearing the No. 71 since making his MLB debut in 2023. Stone is the first Dodgers player to wear the No. 35 since Lance Lynn in 2023.
                  * Shohei Ohtani is a SP for main position noway to give OF for main position. So for real life purposes we will need to put him at #5 in rotation and move SP James Paxton to #2 Long Relief, but move Paxton back when it's his turn to start and not use Ohtani. If the CPU controls this team in your franchise then you can put him in another spot in rotation now the one who's starting thst game and just send down the extra starter that already or doesn't pitch yet until Paxton does his start.

                  PADRES:

SP Dylan Cease should be 200lbs.

                  GIANTS:

SS Tyler Fitzgerald should be 6'3.

                  * This is for the MLB level only and some can be edited which I've done so on the editable players.

MLB level is complete and here are the final notes.

Front page progress has been updated.

I won't be starting AAA until tomorrow.

Will all the players who played in the MLB in 2024 be on a roster or the free agent list? I try to recreate the season as accurately as possible? Thank you for doing this, it is something I think will be very popular.

Everyone should be there. More importantly the organizations will have who was supposed to be there as of 2024 Opening Day. Regardless if there a career minor leaguer or taking up a spot I’ll have who was there.

As far as players coming in or leaving we should still be in pretty good shape.

There are 11 players who are not on the final season ending roster. All are pitchers. Some were on the opening day roster update in April. Either on a team or in the free agent list.

Eli Villalobos - Marlins On opening day roster.

                          Ricardo Pinto- Phillies

                          Casey Kelly - Reds

                          David Buchanan - Reds

Dallas Keuchel- Brewers On opening day roster.

Elieser Hernandez - Dodgers & Brewers On opening day roster.

                          Isaac Mattson - Pirates

Brady Feigl - Pirates On opening day roster.

Andrew Saalfrank - Diamondbacks On opening day roster.

                          Zac Kristofak - Angels

Michael Kelly - Athletics On opening day roster.

I don’t know if this helps you or if your plans are to include all the players who actually played this year. I was just curious as to who got left off the last update. It’s actually less than I thought it would be. Again I, and I am sure everyone appreciates the work you are putting in to making this a more enjoyable game. Thank you.

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24: 2024 OPENING DAY ROSTER BY HOUSTON

So started diving in a little last night on the TRIPLE-A Level. Changed a little bit since last time I did a roster project. Instead of your typical 7 day DL or 60 day DL I maean there still there but now we have the Player Development thing. I was jsut casually looking over ORIOLES Triple-A and theres 35 players total about 8 are injured or under Player Develoment.

More than likely I am going to use Single-A for this as much as possible putting MLB level injured guys there, Triple-A and Double-A I am just not sure if theres gonna be room on some teams.

Then there is the issue where injured players took up some spots in Single-A but not all so all I can really do here is put some prospect A ball players here who is actually on the game.

When there is no room unfortunately I am going to half to send them to FREE AGENTS, But I am going to compile a list and post here in the end so everyone knows where to go find a certain player.

So, MLB, AAA and AA should be accurately displayed for the extras or injured they should be able to be found on the SINGLE-A team.

                              * Remember once you download the roster when complete on the main menu it will be accurately displayed, but once you start your NEW franchise and begin in SPRING TRAINING that it scatters players out of where I had them set. With me setting the real life opening day 40 man it should be so bad or hard to put back.

I will try to share notes and roster images for those, unfortunealtely I printed out MLB this year, but I do a opening day list for my league so I have those on my league website and I think I posted on OS what those were.

For the guys who just play and not follow real life you will be able to start right away no need to organize it back if thats not your thing.

Lastly, sure some are wondering why so late doing this? I usually play online and run my MLB league havent did rosters in quiet some time, getting back into it a little by doing this project if all goes well who knows I might do one at the beginning of 25. That will all depend on how burnt out I am after throwing this together. I am doing 2 major roster projects at the same time and I am by myself these days doing rosters. It's a lot of work and trying to divide time for both projects.

Anyways sorry for the long post guys, here we go about to begin the journey into TRIPLE-A level!!

                                ORIOLES:

Triple-A: Has 35 players on paper we can only have 26. 9 extra players.

Doubule-A: Has 36 players on paper we can only have 26. 10 extra players.

In total of 19 when we can only have 15 I beleive on Single-A. We still have normal MLB level players who were injured like Felix Bautista, Kyle Bradish and others.

                                * What to do what to do???? Hmmmm maybe anyone out for the year can go to FREE AGENTS that's a minor league player? or just move who I can to Single-A and once full the left overs go to FREE AGENTS?
