Re: MLB THE SHOW 24: 2024 OPENING DAY ROSTER BY HOUSTON

Small update not what some wanna hear but AAA is about halfway done.

As much work that AAA needed making me second guess myself on Double-A and Single-A.

It's taking everything I got to push through TRIPLE-A and like I said on previous message Double-A would take even longer because there's more players to create as there is not as many real players there or for whatever reason players who should be there are not even on the game.

I have already edited over probably 250 players height and weights on those minor league players that are editable. There was a few name changes made SDS misspelled.

I have created 40 players to this point that were missing.

I work from home, run a online MLB league and have a Madden 25 project that like this one not getting as far in a short time as I hoped for. I put more effort currently into this project because it's addicting to see how each team looks and matches the real life roster (at the time).

    * And yes I have imported over most of the SDS developers on the game who were in free agents. Will go over free agents in the end to make sure that all Developers have been removed.

Perhaps you go less than 100% accurate on AA and A?

ASTROS AND ANGELS AAA players creates and notes

        ASTROS:

RP Cole Mcdonald - I had to create him.
RP Drew Strotman - I had to create him.
RP Logan VanWey - I had to create him

SP Spencer Arrighetti - There was no room to keep him on TRIPLE-A roster because game only allows 13 pitchers. I moved him to SINGLE-A for now. He was in least amount of games - 2.

RP Mark Washington - There was no room to keep him on TRIPLE-A roster because game only allows 13 pitchers. I moved him to SINGLE-A for now. He was in least amount of games - 3.

SS Shay Whitcomb should be 6'1.

        =================================
        ANGELS:

RP Tyler Thomas - I had to create him.

RP Carson Fulmer - There was no room to keep him on TRIPLE-A roster because game only allows 13 pitchers. I moved him to SINGLE-A for now. He was in least amount of games - 1.

RP Aaron Hernandez - There was no room to keep him on TRIPLE-A roster because game only allows 13 pitchers. I moved him to SINGLE-A for now. He was in least amount of games - 2.

RP Hunter Strickland - There was no room to keep him on TRIPLE-A roster because game only allows 13 pitchers. I moved him to SINGLE-A for now. He was in least amount of games - 2.

Yeah it’s frustrating for sure with all the extras. What I did was using whoever played the top 13 games for each level (13 for position, top 5 games started and 8 games pitched as RP) whoever missed the cut goes to A level if there’s room. Players who already have face scan or career stats and who’s played on the higher level gets the priority in A. But you’re going by the opening day roster so that’s definitely trickier.

Re: MLB THE SHOW 24: 2024 OPENING DAY ROSTER BY HOUSTON

I apprecaite you guys feedback who gave it.

            1. I put to much time into MLB level for accuracy purposes and doing the same for Triple-A. If I cut corners then it kinda depletes the purpose of the other completed levels.

            2. I think what I am going to do once I hit NL Triple-A is not document as much as I have already as far as height & wieght on the scan players because we cant edit those anyways, I guess I was just showing how bad they are and use to writing that stuff down. This would speed up things a little bit.

            3. I can't just cant take short cuts or leave Double-A for (1) when I put my name on something and say it has this or that it damn well will be exactly that!! (2) The process im doing I had to move low level players from Double-A and Single-A to free agents and even import over the editable players no biggie because I can just import them back where needed. So Double-A is not exactly a mess but some players are scattered and I prefer having them back where they belong for as close as a complete set I can get.

            * I hate having to move some pitchers to Single-A who was not even injured or not a major injury player but it is what it is, I feel at least on the main menu these will match what was on paper and opening day 2024 from MLB-Double-A. The process sucks but I will push thru. Single-A will not be accurate what so ever.

I was jsut casually looking over ORIOLES Triple-A and theres 35 players total about 8 are injured or under Player Develoment.

More than likely I am going to use Single-A for this as much as possible putting MLB level injured guys there, Triple-A and Double-A I am just not sure if theres gonna be room on some teams.

Then there is the issue where injured players took up some spots in Single-A but not all so all I can really do here is put some prospect A ball players here who is actually on the game.

When there is no room unfortunately I am going to half to send them to FREE AGENTS, But I am going to compile a list and post here in the end so everyone knows where to go find a certain player.

So, MLB, AAA and AA should be accurately displayed for the extras or injured they should be able to be found on the SINGLE-A team.

              * Remember once you download the roster when complete on the main menu it will be accurately displayed, but once you start your NEW franchise and begin in SPRING TRAINING that it scatters players out of where I had them set. With me setting the real life opening day 40 man it should be so bad or hard to put back.

I will try to share notes and roster images for those, unfortunealtely I printed out MLB this year, but I do a opening day list for my league so I have those on my league website and I think I posted on OS what those were.

For the guys who just play and not follow real life you will be able to start right away no need to organize it back if thats not your thing.

Lastly, sure some are wondering why so late doing this? I usually play online and run my MLB league havent did rosters in quiet some time, getting back into it a little by doing this project if all goes well who knows I might do one at the beginning of 25. That will all depend on how burnt out I am after throwing this together. I am doing 2 major roster projects at the same time and I am by myself these days doing rosters. It's a lot of work and trying to divide time for both projects.

Anyways sorry for the long post guys, here we go about to begin the journey into TRIPLE-A level!!
I have be using my own formula to retreive a players's name when I have to send him temporarely into the FA's slot. I simply put in Cap letters the organization he plays for such as BAL, NYY, TOR , etc. next to his last name. If I need to reactivate that player, I can find him easily in the FA's slot. Just sayin'. Great work Houston by the way !

SEATTLE was a mess took a Lil bit longer but there just about done then it's the RANGERS. Hoping eventually get some easy teams to do when I hit the NL. There was a couple AL central that was quick.

Sunday & Mondays I won't be able to do much I try to spend time watching a Lil football as I do some editing on that project. I enjoy listening to manning cast and doing some Madden roster editing.

I will do some more MLB tonight and tomorrow.

I did finish the AAA AL. I started the NL last night hoping and fingers crossed 🤞 a quicker time, but 1st team up the BRAVES and I was shocked and disappointed a roster editing high 12 missing players for AAA.

I was determined to just say screw it and grab ones I could find from Full Minors and the vault, but after going over some I just can't and decided to do my own version. When there is a decent player I can quickly edit I will use those but so far only been a couple the rest our mine from scratch.

I'm actually pretty proud how these turned out. Will post when the team is complete.

                            NOTES:

Most of these are veteran type players and correct service time has been given unfortunately they will not have there career team or stats. I didn't bother giving there stance/motion, ratings and equipment yet, but I will look them up on last MLB the Show game they were on and give them all that stuff. Just didn't feel like slowing my progress down right now looking that up.

You’re amazingly efficient considering when you started, the amount of workload you took and all that on a one man team.

Thanks man very much appreciated. Yeah should be a lil further than I am but not bad for like u said a 1 person team. I mentioned before I'm 54 now and don't get thru as many teams like I did several years ago. It's either not as much time, the burn out or lose motivation but I can say this project has its ups and downs and when I think I need a break or work on the other project I find myself right back on this one excited to see how the next team unfolds.
