    Draft Year

Just an FYI to the roster editor and creators. If you are editing a player who has a draft year, it will remain. Only way to remove it is to import a Cap over top of that player.

Example: If you are editing an existing player named Steve Smith who was drafted in 2017 and change him to Leo Rodriguez… that draft year stays on the CAP as 2017.

I created Shugo Maki (Japan) and i edited over top of an existing player to do so. Went back to see that the player card said he was drafted in the 5th round of the 2022 draft LOL

    Happy editing folks.

To piggy back on this. Players are now hard coded it appears. If you edit an existing player into someone else the PA announcers will still say the name of the original player regardless of you changing the audio names or not. Just an FYI in case some people don't know this as well.

Possible solution: What if we Import a CAP over top of that player instead of editing?…… Creating a Joe Random and just keep importing the same CAP and edit that one over top of the MILB player you wanted to edit anyway???

I have made 15 International players (Japan, China and Mexico). But i created a CAP and i keep editing that CAP into the player i want (Yama****a, Murakami, Inoue etc.) I haven’t game tested as of yet.

( i can confirm that If you Import a CAP over a player it will remove the draft year)

Yes, that is the only way if you don't want the draft rounds to stick and you want the PA announcer to announce correct names.

Obviously the trade off is it will be hard to create super utility guys, but small price to pay I suppose.

Ok. So to play it safe and to confirm…. Its best to leave the MILB players alone and not to edit them due to the name issue. So is it best to Import a CAP over a Legend instead? Maybe move the MILB players you dont want into Free agency for a Legend and then Import over that Legend?

This will also clean up the free agents. Its a longer process but it is what it is.
