Take a look at the stats below. As I said earlier, I was mainly focused on the offensive stats, as the offensive sliders are the most consistent since I started my test games.

These are the things that make the countless hours of testing worth it to me, my friends. You'll see that these stats are right in line with the real-life Dodgers from last season. Being that the Dodgers are the only team that I test with, I used their stats from last season as my source material.

I'm confident enough to say that the core offensive sliders (Contact, Power, Solid Hits) shouldn't have any significant changes moving forward. However, even though the stats are pretty much where they should be, I plan on dropping Human Timing by one click, just for a bit more of a challenge, and hopefully, to bring the Human slugging percentage down just a bit. Other than that, I really like what I'm seeing.

Those numbers look sweet. Great job so far on the slider I think dropping the timing down to 4 will be the sweet spot and the offensive number will be great.

You and me both itbeme on taking walks I swing for the fences when that Pitch is a fastball middle in. I guess that is why I got so many HR with the mariners.

Working on the Braves right now should get the numbers up here shortly.

BTW I voted a 3 cause I didn't get 20 Strikeouts with F. Hernandez and hit 20 HR in a week with Cano. Just thought I let you know. LMAO

Great set Itbeme. The only thing is, I had to turn up Baserunner Speed to 6. I'm having players with 70-80 Steal and 80-85 Speed getting beat easily by the catcher throwing to 2nd on the steal.

It's happened twice on Mookie Betts in one game so far. Not sure if you're experiencing this?

Pardon me if the is any spelling errors while I write this wrapup, I am still jumping for joy at this game and giddy as a school girl right now. I had a complete blast playing this game what a great pitchers duel, going for 8 innings no offense on both teams. Teheran started off the year where he left off last year and looked like the ace of this staff. Then Fernandez rebounded from his Tommy John surgery like nothing happened.

Then the 9th inning came down by a run and finally the Braves bats came to life against Cishek. Start the inning with Simmons popping out to Mathis behind the plate, Pierson ski reaches first on a error by Solano, glad he came in as a defensive replacement, Young base hit to left side. Runners on first and second. Then all hell breaks loose, Peterson, base hit. Maybin scores, pinch ran for Pierzynski., Markakis, base hit up the middle, Young scores. Freeman, base hit, Peterson scores. (Now at this point I am jumping up and down in my chair and my wife comes out of the bedroom tells me to shut up cause the kids are sleeping). Bethancourt reaches on base by an error by Prado, that allowed the finally run to score. Well cause I was so amped up I start swing at the first pitch on the next to batters.

Well I hope my next games are like this cause this is a great game. I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the sliders if this holds up And what your stats are showing, this might be it then just the fine tuning of the baserunning as steals.

I have not really seen this. But you also remember there are new factors you have take in account for the game with the slide step and all. Anyway, keep running number, cause even Billy Hamilton the fastest guy in the MLB got thrown out 23 times last year, so Betts might have gotten a bad jump or picked the wrong Pitch to run on. There is a lot of factors.

Just keep running and tell us if the numbers are close to Mlb average and we will check theM out. Plus if you like it at a 6 leave in there it's what you believe that will give the funnest and realistic experience.

A total bombardment !
Set the sliders with the changes made yesterday by Ibteme and start of the game 3.
After an easy first inning, in the second came the first blow, continued until the last inning with the maximum in the 5th
I continue to use the analog pitching and also for the batting, use the analog. I need to improve and be more disciplined in the hitting box. But take 6 homeruns in one game is really tough.

Great set Itbeme. The only thing is, I had to turn up Baserunner Speed to 6. I'm having players with 70-80 Steal and 80-85 Speed getting beat easily by the catcher throwing to 2nd on the steal.

It's happened twice on Mookie Betts in one game so far. Not sure if you're experiencing this?

Thanks for the props, man. Glad that you're enjoying the set. I'll be honest, I haven't dove too much into the stolen base percentages just yet. It's actually last on my list of things to make adjustments to. I've made just general observations up to this point.


First off, we have to understand what the two sliders ACTUALLY DO, versus what the SCEA explanation says:


1. Baserunner Steal ABILITY
- This basically means that the runners who should be stealing (i.e. Mookie Betts, Dee Gordon, Billy Hamilton, etc.) are actually stealing bases. In theory, raising this slider would cause stolen bases that normally wouldn't steal (like a Molina brother). Up to this point, I haven't seen anything super out of the ordinary with this slider, which leads me to believe that it is probably best to keep it at default for now.


2. Baserunner Steal Frequency:
- This refers to the amount of stolen bases ATTEMPTED by baserunners. I think it does have an affect on success rate, but to a lesser degree. Like TonyFire said, a lot of things can affect stolen base success rates. CPU pitchers are able to use the slide step and pitch outs, in order to curb the running game. Plus, if you run on the wrong pitch or in the wrong count, chances are you're going to get thrown out by the CPU catcher.

Will do. Also, do you want us to post our Box Score game stats in this thread? I'm currently using your latest 4/7/2015 update sliders.

I would prefer that people use the Test Set in Post #2, as that is what I am using currently. That will end up being the final set. I honestly don't know if anybody is even using the original set anymore. If not, I will hide it, that way people don't get confused on which set to use.

Set the sliders with the changes made yesterday by Ibteme and start of the game 3.
After an easy first inning, in the second came the first blow, continued until the last inning with the maximum in the 5th
I continue to use the analog pitching and also for the batting, use the analog. I need to improve and be more disciplined in the hitting box. But take 6 homeruns in one game is really tough.

Thanks for giving the sliders a shot. I don't want you to think that your stats are being ignored. I appreciate you posting them into the thread. To save you time, I would suggest just posting the general stats that others in the thread are doing. If you need any direction on that, just look at any one of mine or Tonyfire's stat posts, and use that as a template. We really don't need the detailed stats of each batter and pitcher. Just make sure to include yours and the CPU's detailed pitching stats, as you did at the bottom of your last post.


As far as suggestions on how to improve your game results, I noticed that you were using Analog Batting/Pitching. I want to reiterate that my set is built for the Classic Pitching/Directional (Timing) Hitting interfaces. It's very hard for me to give suggestions to somebody if they're not using the interfaces that my set is intended for. So my first bit of advice would be to play a few games using the Classic/Directional interfaces, and let me know if you are still struggling, at that point I can look at your stats and make suggestions on what might help you have a better experience.

I'll go in chronological order.

1) the detailed stats of the first three games, I inserted deliberately, to give you an idea of what happens using your sliders, mixed with my gameplay options.
Not bad everything. But for sure the mix of your gameplay options/sliders and my own gameplay options with your sliders, certainly pushes me to have to change something.
Presumably, it would be better if I tried to set the sliders, based only on my gameplay. Starting, of course, from your sliders.
This would increase the variety of mix-gameplay options / sliders existing in the topic and would give more choice for users.
Getting back to the topic: I have observed that the stats of the Overall strikes and the percentage of strikes in the match of my starting pitchers, is very unbalanced, compared to those of the IA, so I think I will have to act accordingly, if I want to get a result more homogeneous and more based on the real percentages.

2) I tried to set up a profile of options called just "ibteme GO" and I started playing with that kind of gameplay. I admit that I have not felt comfortable in pitching (as with the pure analog, I have more the feeling of *pitch*), while for the hitting, it might also be good but now I have the instinct to play with the pure analog even in hitting
In any case, "your" profile of GO I saved and I keep it. : D

If you want, i can to post the screenshots of gameplay options that i use.

3) I'm italian, from Naple (also i live in Rome). And so for this, that i want to learn more possibile about this game, even because i play baseball on PC or console since 1992, and i like much MLB the Show. I buyed it in the 2010 and since then, every year, I continue to buy it. But I want to immerse myself completely in the game (and I do not hide that also helped me in the real life, in my amateur softball team). The timing at 4 felt really good. The Braves played like the should have no power team. Don't be fooled by their offensive last night that is going to be rare, IRL. I saw good base hits, and the double was down the line was really nice to see. Busy today so game 2 won't be coming up until tonight.

Yes, you are correct in saying that you should adjust the overall set to your liking and skill set. However, the two interfaces (Analog vs. Classic/Timing) are EXTREMELY different from each other. Analog, just like Meter Pitching/Zone Hitting, are user-skill based interfaces, in that the user has a great influence on the outcome of the game. Whether that is moving the Analog stick while pitching, timing the pitching meter, or manually moving the PCI using Zone hitting, the user is determining the result on the field. While this type of gameplay suits some people, that is not what this slider set is built for. The reason why I use Classic pitching and Directional (Timing) hitting, is because those are the two interfaces that allow for the player ratings (in-game) to have the most affect the outcome on the field. Yes, the user still has input on what happens in the game, but the player ratings still take precedence over the user's input. To me, this is the only way that you can get a true simulation out of the game....when your letting the player ratings dictate the outcome of the game. Because you're using Analog, I really can't make any educated suggestions about what slider adjustments are needed, because I'm not really familiar with how the sliders affect that interface. That would take me personally doing test games on an interface that I don't use and am not familiar with, which would deviate from my goal of getting my current set as perfect as possible for a franchise. My suggestion would be to use this set with the interfaces that it is intended for, and see if you like it. If not, I know that there are a bunch of other guys throughout the forum that are building slider sets for pretty much every interface combination available in the game. I'm sure you're bound to find one that suits your preferences.

Yes, you are correct in saying that you should adjust the overall set to your liking and skill set. However, the two interfaces (Analog vs. Classic/Timing) are EXTREMELY different from each other. Analog, just like Meter Pitching/Zone Hitting, are user-skill based interfaces, in that the user has a great influence on the outcome of the game. Whether that is moving the Analog stick while pitching, timing the pitching meter, or manually moving the PCI using Zone hitting, the user is determining the result on the field. While this type of gameplay suits some people, that is not what this slider set is built for. The reason why I use Classic pitching and Directional (Timing) hitting, is because those are the two interfaces that allow for the player ratings (in-game) to have the most affect the outcome on the field. Yes, the user still has input on what happens in the game, but the player ratings still take precedence over the user's input. To me, this is the only way that you can get a true simulation out of the game....when your letting the player ratings dictate the outcome of the game. Because you're using Analog, I really can't make any educated suggestions about what slider adjustments are needed, because I'm not really familiar with how the sliders affect that interface. That would take me personally doing test games on an interface that I don't use and am not familiar with, which would deviate from my goal of getting my current set as perfect as possible for a franchise. My suggestion would be to use this set with the interfaces that it is intended for, and see if you like it. If not, I know that there are a bunch of other guys throughout the forum that are building slider sets for pretty much every interface combination available in the game. I'm sure you're bound to find one that suits your preferences.

I get it. You try to allow for the player ratings (in-game) to have the most affect the outcome on the field.
While I (which also i use in football games -Pes. Fifa - full manual settings instead of assisted set controlling) instead prefer the user's skill in playing and the skills of the players of the game in support and then have the data.
Including this one, then I can get to work for the creation of a basic set, with gameplay options based on my preferences and sliders that adjust to that.,
I Know that your starting point is, however, very important, just because it looks for an outcome as close to reality as possible.

Was able to play a few quick innings on my lunch break this afternoon.

In moving Human Timing to 4, there's definitely a noticeable increase in challenge at the plate. I'm looking forward to testing more after work.
