I'm in the process of finishing up stats for the testing phase. I'm hoping to post those at some point later today. Just eyeballing the pitching stats that I've compiled up to this point. Strike percentages are right in the ranges that they should be. Overall strike percentages (at least for CPU starters), might be a little on the high side, but first pitch percentages (remember, the 2014 MLB average was 60%) are right at 59.74%. That's about as close as I'll be able to get them.

Overall, I'm very happy with the way the set has turned out.

Absolutely loving those stats. And to lose on a squeeze play in extra innings?!?!? Those are the games where even though you lose, it's still a blast.

Yea it sucked losing that way but I had a huge smile on my face when I saw what was happening.

I can't tell you enough how much more amazing you made this game for me... Waiting on Hybrid rosters then I'm starting my Franchise.

I have a quck question about comparisons between these sliders and Armor's. Without starting a war about sliders, has anyone jumped around from these sliders? I personally love Armors sliders already but I am always curious as to what else is out there. I see Itbeme has an emphasis on pitching strike freq. Personally I'm pretty satisfied with A&S and the stats from a hitting and pitching perspective. It seems these are the two best timing hitting sliders so I was just curious if there was anything that one showcased better than the other

Im rolling on Vet hitting and have plugged in these sliders for CPU pitching.

They are great, im loving what Im seeing as far as strike percentages. on Veteran the CPU can be a little strike happy, to make it easier. With these adjustments I'm having great AB's. Great Variety in the way the CPU is attacking me.

Just finished posting the full offensive stats in the 2nd post.


I would like to have included OBP and OPS, but unfortunately I didn't gather all the data needed (IBB, Hit Batters, Sacrifice Fly, etc.).


I still feel like I've given enough data and sample size to stand by these sliders. Most of the stats provided are within a few percentage points of MLB averages. I am a little disappointed with my batting average and slugging percentage, but I bet that has to do a lot with the seven game losing streak that I just experienced. The same could be said with the CPU's BA and SLG, as they are a bit on the high side, but then again, they just pounded on me for seven straight games. If the CPU's extra base hits weren't right in line with real-life MLB averages, then I'd say an adjustment to the sliders would be needed. But that's definitely not the case. I think that these will definitely play out nicely over a full season.

In counter to what I read, I have no problems in hitting or for sterility of the attack of the CPU. Indeed.
The CPU, more often, hits well and also with some HR decisive.
I can arrive at home, only with builded runs thanks to singles or doubles.
It must be stressed that with these sliders it's important to keep calm and i swing only when I feel it, or I'm sure that will come a ball playable.
Above all, put in place the style of Ted Williams.
I see the first and then I go deep in the count
For this reason, always starting from the base of sliders Ibteme, I have devised modifications, raising Human Hit Power to 5, lowering Human Timing to 4 and, consequently, lowering the CPU power to 4 and raising CPU Timing to 5.

Now I'm playing the Franchise with the Dodgers, writing down all data, thanks to the spreadsheet of Tonyfire plus the stats regarding the starting pitcher of the two teams and the totals of both pitching.
The average values at the moment (3 games played) are not much different from the values that you have already reported.

In any case, for my own safety and to the fact that with the baseball stats i'm not as well versed as you, when I get to the 10th match i will show the partials average, and so doing, every 10 matches , I'll show you the stats.
So you can also help me to figure out if there is some data out of the average MLB.

Obviously it is my concern to show the gameplay options and sliders that I'm using at the moment.

Just lost 8-0 to the Dodgers. Oof. I had 1 hit, 1 BB, 1 HBP. Struck out 8 times. Almost everything I hit was right at someone. Really rough outing.

Worst part was it was their #5 pitcher. Nothing stat wise was out of the ordinary, I just could not get a base hit to save my life! I was very patient, guy threw almost 120 pitches, I just couldn't get anything going. Those things happen I guess.

Surprised I stuck it out and took the beating haha.

Don't feel like you're alone, man. I'm still in a slump myself. After breaking my 7 game losing streak in the first game of my franchise, I reverted back to my non-hitting ways in game 2. I tried to alter my approach a bit in BP, which seemed to be working, so I transferred it over to my franchise. Oh man, has it NOT worked. The good thing about BP (in Good At-Bat Mode) is that it allows you to work on situational hitting (men on the bases vs. not on, etc.). It's great when you're able to advance runners, or score runners on ground outs or SAC flies in BP, but the main thing is....you need to have men on base in order to play situational baseball. And I've been having an EXTREMELY tough time doing that over the past week or so. I want to blame it on the fact that I've been sick, or that I have a lot of stuff going on at work, but it's still frustrating beyond words. To be honest, I think I've just gotten to the point where I've invested too much time in the game, with all of the slider testing/adjustments and setting up my franchise (which took six straight hours). I'm overthinking at the plate, which is something I very rarely do. I'm swinging at bad pitches, not working the count, and getting OWNED, which are all things I haven't experienced at any point while using this set.

So for now, I'm going to take a little bit of a break. I didn't play at all yesterday, and I don't plan on playing until probably the weekend. I love this game, trust me. But sometimes taking a break is a good thing.

I believe that this is the beautiful of this game.
After an opening day where i have lose into the 9th, i have won two in a row in the extras and at the 9th for victory into the series. Now i lost by Rubby De La Rosa (!!!!!) the 1st in Phoenix, but i've hit my first HR of the year (with Uribe....unbelievable.....Puig, Gonzalez, Crawford....and i blast HR with Uribe ) !!!

Excited to get back to the game tonight, all.

The thread has kind of gone cold!!! What's the deal? How's everybody's games and/or franchises going?

I'm going to be testing out one of the re-rated roster sets tonight to see how the sliders play out. If all goes well, I might end up waiting for the official OSFM Hybrid set to come out before I actually dive into my franchise.

This will allow me to do two things:

1. Figure out if any adjustments are needed to the sliders.
2. Get my damn swing back! These games of only getting 4-5 hits and 1-2 runs are killing me.

I'll be back tonight with some findings about the re-rated rosters and how the sliders are playing out.
