Hey A & S,

Love the sliders, been using them since day one.

I have been trying 0 and 1 for fielding speed for a few days and really love it. Slow outfielders getting to every shot was just driving me nuts. I try to build my teams with speed and defense and it just didn't seem to matter.

Now it does!

So I am looking forward to your thoughts before I go all in. Especially the base running speed needed to balance out slower fielders.

Yes indeed. Remember though I play auto field and manual throw offline.

Even so I am going to test this with assisted fielding for online play as well.

I use the same setup offline as well.

Assisted fielding wasn't gonna help the Pags HR which still hasn't landed yet.

Yes they are. I am testing some tweaks that are not official as of now.

I just can't get away from quick counts. I tried a few full games and I just seem to get lazy with my pitching. When playing quick counts I am focused every pitch and I think it adds to the difficulty. I do agree with you in that you miss a lot on the presentation side by playing quick counts, but I'm ok with that.

I'm interested in the new tweaks. I'm going to plug them in myself and see how they feel. Really appreciate you continuing to share your changes. Makes the game very enjoyable.

Armor, while not using your set at the moment, I HAVE taken your suggestion of the "Clean screen" pitching and it is ****ing fantastic! Just curious if you have seen more questionable calls by your catcher as his fielding rating goes down? I seem to remember something along these lines being the case in past editions...

How are the steals looking with base runner speed that low? Also is anyone else finding it too easy to steal for USER?

More realistic. No doubt.

Here are the settings I am playing and testing and so far after only 8 games I am really feeling it.

Fielder speed - 0
Baserunning speed - 2
Fielder reactiion - 2


I actually had a broken bat blooper over the first baseman today! Could not believe it.

More gap doubles and I am seeing weak singles dropping in now. No more super OF's.

Ratings truly matter now.

@ Josh.....interesting observation on the catcher rating and how they call a game, I will take notes on that and get back to you. Glad your enjoying that clean screen approach!

Awesome! Thanks for the reply Armor, I may have to try these settings out. I remember playing with fielder reaction and speed at 0 with The Show 12 I believe and it made a world of difference. Thanks again, appreciate your work!!

Arm strength still at 5? Seems like it should be lowered to compensate for the slower base running but I'm far from a slider expert. I'll give a try!!

I was thinking this last night as well, buuut I then I started thinking that the slower fielder speed should cancel each other out? I don't think the arm strength should go down any more. (Though admittedly I haven't tested at a lower setting)

I'm playing with your sliders as they are in the OP (fielder speed 3, etc.) and am 12 games into my Cubs franchise. I've had about 5 bloop singles in total so far, including two of them back-to-back in the last game I played.
