Can you argue calls? Not talking about the chalenge replay thing, just plain argue calls.

I play with ejections on, what gets one ejected? I am assuming pegging batters, which I do not do as we are well disciplened haha
No to both. AFAIK, ejections only happen for beaning too many batters in a row. Many years ago, there used to be cutscenes in which players would argue a call and get ejected, but I think that's been gone for a while. Pretty sure the MLB nixed that.

Thanks to you both for the info. I kinda figured the MLB would not want the ugly aspects of baseball in the game, which is fine. I really do not care about either was mostly just curious.

My little brother was playing on Rookie level and I bumped it up to Veteran for him. Interesting thing but Veteran is actually easier for him to win games on. The actual reaction time to pitches does not change but now they throw a few more balls and it seems that makes him watch more pitches and thus hit better. Pitching wise I guess they miss more or get hit a bit more but it seems really close to the same.

This got me thinking as I play on All Star, so bumped it up to Legend and ummmm... No, it is not just a slight bump. Legend is crazy and things just seem like sudenly Superman has joined my oponent.

These sliders work perfect on All-Star and for my brother on All-Star Pitching/ Veteran Hitting the hybred ones are spot on. Was wondering does anyone play Legend and use these. Asking because I seem to be getting really good at pitching and may bump that side up. Not bumping up batting because I can not hit Supermans fastball and when line drive doubles are caught it kinda is silly.

Or Armor if pitching is kinda too easy is there a slider change you suggest? I am using them exactly as you have them playing All-Star/All-Star.

NEVERMIND after pitching and playing some on Legend the results do not seem as realistic as All-Star and the stat lines are off. So, I am sticking with All-Star.

Dumb question but what's the (+1) mean in the slider set? Are you just showing what has changed or are you saying add (+1) to the number in the current set?

Yep, the +1 refers to the change from the previous set to the current set. No dumb questions. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Just had the worst defensive display I ever had in a baseball game with committing five errors with 4 of them happening in one inning! There were 4 throwing errors with each outfielder having one error and it was with the Padres btw. Never had that many errors in a game of course I ended up losing the game 6-2 to my surprise it could have been worse but yikes it was a tough game.

These sliders are amazing, especially for me when I set them with DD and quick pitch. Now that I am pretty much set at my skill levels with DD I am having some amazing games a month into my season. Nail biters, slugfests, blowouts you name it. It seems like the game gets better and more realistic as you get into the season as well. Thanks Armor for these great sliders, and everyone else for all the input and advice that has helped me tweek this game to be the best sports game ever played up to this point on a console without a doubt

Has anyone else had to turn the solid contact slider up to 5 to get hits. I have played around 20 to 30 games with the sliders how they sit and every thing was a slow ground ball or a weak fly ball. Once i turned it up to 5 i was seeing hits by both myself and the CPU. Now im not a slider expert but is it due to this slider or were players just making better contact.

I had it at 3 at one point but moved it back to four as I was seeing too many ground rule doubles but I think for is the sweet spot IMO. It's all about making solid contact.

Has anyone had trouble with the CPU hitting? I have contact at 5 and they hit everything, like 11 or 12 hits a game. Then I move it down to 4 and they only get like 5 or 6 hits a game and they strike out a bunch. Anyone have any suggestions of how I might be able to make this a bit more realistic? Would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would turn it back up to 5 and then pay very close attention to your strike vs ball ratio. I usually aim to throw around 66% strikes and 33% balls. If you are consistently over that number, you are throwing too many strikes and hitters are just sitting on it. I find that when I get hit hard a couple games in a row, its because I am throwing way too many strikes. Do not be afraid to pick the corners vs the good hitters and go after the weaker ones.

Had a cut scene today, Justin Upton was dusted by Lincecum and wound up on his back, he hopped up and starting jawing with the catcher, the ump got between them and broke it up. It was a small thing but it really added to the intensity of the ballgame which we(Padres) eventually won by 3-0
This is my first time attempting a franchise with The Show and it has sucked me in big time.

Anyone having an easy time pitching? I'm using the method armor uses but I'm dominating so far. I'm 11-1 and top 3 in most pitching categories. Could it beginning season luck? Or should I tweak the setting to make it harder?

Miami's pitching staff is quite impressive. Go 3 times through the rotation and check back with me.

Hey Armor, why is it that all my starting pitchers before game are tired and I look at cpu before game and they have 3 fully rested starters? I've had this problem for last two years.
