Lol... The pitch speed varies with difficulty level. I can see quite a few people having to lower pitch speed if they play on Hall of Fame or Legend mode.

For the record I play on Hall of Fame and I think I have it at default right now. I haven't played in almost 2 weeks though so idk

Yes, I bat from a Broadcast view (Toronto) with Zone button hitting + Legend difficulty so I use 4 for pitch speed, but just voted default since that's pretty close.

The pitch speed does vary on difficulty levels?

Sure does. 90mph on legend is faster than 90mph on HoF is faster than 90mph on AllStar and so on.

I can't hit on anything lower than 8. I'm currently sitting on 9.

                          Re: Pitch Speed

I was doing 10. I wanted everything in game to look as close to real life as possible. But I found myself seeing pitches that I knew were balls and told myself do not swing, but out of reaction I clicked the button anyways. Though I can read the pitches at 10, looking through a tv, controlling with a controller, it's not like real life and I just swing at too many pitches I can see are out of the zone. So I put it at 6 and I love it. If I see ball and I take it. I still get fooled and chase a realistic amount and I do get fastballs blown by me.

I've become a much better and realistic hitter since going to 6. I wish I could use 10 like this, but it just didn't work out.

                            Re: Pitch Speed

I played on HOF for about a month at 7 pitch speed (couldve done 8). Im currently playing on 10 at all-star. Realize that there are a select few of MLB hitters that can turn on an inside corner fastball and rip a line drive. Pitch speed should be set that you can, at the very least, foul off an up and in fastball off a knee jerk reaction. If you are constantly late on fastballs over the middle and outer 3rd of plate then you either need to lower pitch speed or change your approach at the plate. If your the type of the person that tries to hit 3 different pitches at once (rather than sit on a pitch in a certain location) I can guarantee you use a lower pitch speed. People often look to human contact/solid hits to make hitting harder or easier when they should really be playing around pitch speed 1st.
