After a good sample size in testing I have made a couple of tweaks (lol) that I feel will greatly enhance the game.
Version 3.0 has been updated on the OP and the following two changes have been made.
Solid Hits Human/CPU - 5 (up from 4) - Hit variety is still excellent and this is cutting down on weak foul outs (was starting to see too many for my taste), and better contact on pitches you should be grooving and not hitting weakly into the ground. Also it cut down the number of double plays...was starting to see after 70 plus games too many
Infield Arm Strength 6 (up from 5) - something that was cropping up too often after 70 plus games played was the lazy sit and wait for weakly hit ground balls to SS as well as third. Even with base-runner speed at 3 (which is perfect) the throws were too late on weaker speed guys (70 and below rated speed). It should not happen as often as it did. Also pre-loading too early seems to have an effect on triggering them to not charge the ball harder so be aware of that.

Not to sound like a complete idiot...But what difficulty is best for the computer? If I'm on DD would I want the AI on DD as well? Does the AIs skill go up and down with it on Dynamic? sorry,I just never understood.Comment

In a sense, yes. For example, if you start out on Veteran and it promotes you to All-Star, the AI (and overall game) will play as though you set it to All-Star.

This might sound like a crazy request but is there anyone that isnt having issues with bunting that could potentially shoot a video laying a couple down and linking me to it? I thought I could do something like supersim that one AB but apparently not so Im back to square one, its either that or every SP on my team is getting a 99 bunt rating as Im done dealing with it. At this point its rince and repeat, CPU SP throws fastballs, I bunt, ball rockets off it right at either the 3B or 1B which leads to an easy double play. I mean I've literally watched the 1B charge in, grab it, spin and wheel throwing to second while the 2B covers 1st and its an easy double play. Im at the point where Im gonna quit playing and sell the game as I cant take it anymore so hoping someone can show me a video and maybe I can spot something Im doing wrong here.Comment

Here is Yordano Ventura an AL pitcher on my Fantasy St Louis Cardinals team laying down a perfect sac bunt. I am able to do it....I don't know what your doing wrong....but like I had said several times.....when I get the right pitch I can get a bunt down...it's not easy like MLB 15, but this year it is rewarding as it should be. It's not something that is automatic.

Using the same pitch sliders on HOF, but I use meter pitching instead of classic..That being said, I might be too good with the meter, as I never allow walks (I don't throw many balls altogether). If I decrease control/consistency, will it serve the purpose of actually walking people without having the CPU hitters demolish whatever I "miss"?Comment

I don't know what it is - there's not a lot going on, even from a "user skill" standpoint, especially if you're bunting at strikes.
Have you tried NOT influencing left/right, but just down? I.E. "I don't care where you put it, just make sure you get it down on the ground"? Or maybe no influence at all? The last bunt I got down was with 2 strikes so I didn't care where, just as long as down and maybe that would increase the chance of him getting it fair.
A lot of the bunts I get down aren't pretty like that Ventura one, but they get down. Last one I got down looked like someone tossed it about 15 feet from the plate and it died not far from that (like a super mini popup). 3B had no chance for a DP.
But overall in that game, I would have been at 50% because the first bunt probably should have been a failure, but E5.
I was going to suggest an idea, but it sounded so ridiculous that I don't even want to type it. I couldn't imagine doing it myself with a pitcher.
That animation by the 1B might be part of it, imo. When I see that throw, I always think that I can't imagine a lot of 1B throwing with that kind of motion, especially when Chris Davis does it. Or Chris Carter for that matter. These settings are specific and designed and tested on Classic Pitching only.
TNK uses meter pitching sonyou may want to check out their pitching settings to mix and match with the test of these settings.Now Playing on PS5:

Just curious as to how many of you let the catcher call the game. In my experience, I've never had much success when going by what he calls for. To the point where I've given up 8 straight hits going that route.
However, when I call my own game, it's pretty much night and day. Not saying I end up with Pedro Martinez numbers but I have much more success when calling it myself.
Anyone else feel this?Comment
