Unfortunately that's the only view on CPU vs. CPU in this game. I think it's a bug, but after posting it in the bug report twice (and it was deleted twice), I don't think it's something they'll fix.

In a way I'm glad then because I thought maybe I was just growing more stupid! Bummer about that though because the better views are obviously looking outward.

Yeah it is definitely a bug. Sometimes I'd have it set on my outfield view (pitching) and it shows that, but some games it goes to broadcast view. It almost automatically goes to that most games it seems. Even if I control a team it goes back to what I wanted, but when I put it back to CPU vs CPU and it's back to broadcast so yeah no idea. Nothing we can do it seems.

I'm liking the sliders so far (one game played but few CPU vs CPU). But for the feel of the game play when I actually played.. I'm really liking the fielding/baserunning sliders (with fielder speed at 0). Loving how throws at 1B are closer and realistic, speedster beats DP at more realistic rate, but at the same time I'm able to make a tough out of position DP. Runner actually stole twice on me, one caught me by surprise by stealing 3rd (cant tell if they are running with the outfield view from 2B). I usually catch them by miles. Various things I've seen that I haven't seen often which is nice. Looking good by a game played so far. Much more testing lol.

Just popping in to ask about utilizing these sliders.

These are designed for CPU-CPU games, which I never watch fully, but I'm wondering if they can be used in my franchise in the following manner to their intended effect.

I'm considering loading these as my "base" set for all teams but mine and for all games but those I play myself. I play one game per series with my primary team and all playoff games if I make the playoffs.

For games I "sim," I actually select the game, go in, set my starter and lineups, and then once the game starts, I "exit" and "sim to end."

My question is this: for the games I "sim" using the above method, would these sliders work as intended if they were the loaded sliders for such games? I gather that my "sim" method is essentially how a CPU-CPU game would be set up, and I'd assume that exiting the game would not nullify the slider set's effects and that my simulations would produce stats in line with your data.

            Does that sound right?

For the first time I'm considering using sliders. The only other option is to quit playing the game. Which of the 3 umpire settings are you using for your test?

I've always assumed the default variable umpire settings. I've always used it and the results have been quite good.

IMO using Nomo's sliders or ones similar are mandatory for CPU vs CPU. This year's game in unwatchable on default sliders, unless you like 1-0 or 2-1 games all the time.

It just dawned on me, this isn't a bug! There's an advertising scroll in almost every ballpark behind home plate that you see when watching a game on TV. Now we see that scroll when playing with the pitcher's view.....or in all cpu games! I'm willing to bet this was deliberate.

For home plate umps I use variable because every umpire is different. As far as plays in the field I use perfect or whatever it's called mainly because real life teams get to see replay and challenge. Since we can't do that in the game yet (except first base) I make sure every call is correct.

I was asking the question of nomo who made the sliders. It would make no sense to test a game with variable umpires. This year they added a third umpire setting.

I'm also curious what time of year he uses. The devs confirmed in a live stream rain impacts gameplay and they also confirmed weather for games is determined by location and time of year. In most of the USA it rains a lot in April and May.
