Slider makers - avg number foul balls per game

Thought it might help some of you slider makers going for realism. The latest data I have seen shows that there is an average of 46 foul balls per game. Sounds like a lot, but avgs out to about 5 per inning.

Not sure how that correlates to the slider setting of 5 in the Show.

Keep in mind that pitch counts can vary significantly. a pitcher's duel can produce as few as 10 foul balls in 250 pitches. A slugfest could produce 60 or 70 foul balls in 400 pitches. For this reason, when comparing foul balls in The Show to the tendencies of real life, I prefer to express the average as a ratio of batted balls. For every 100 pitches batted, 49 of them will be foul.

Not to mention the foul slider is just one ingredient in the puzzle.

Hitter timing and swing location vs pitch location are also important - perhaps more so.

I find I get a lot of foul balls - even on 0 foul frequency for both sides. When I use 10, it's more like 70/100 batted balls are foul.

Like I said in OP, I am not sure how to account for this stat in the sliders. Just raw data.
