    what happens if you put the baserunning and fielder running sliders to zero??

    I never did baserunner speed at 0 (I use 1), but fielder speed at 0 seems to work fine as long as baserunner speed is similar. That way when they are running down a ball, the base runners don't get like 2 bases on the poor outfielder. Similar speeds should still move relatively similar.

    What I notice is that players are "stressed" more against their speed/reaction to get to the ball and any errors in judgement might be costly, unless they can "outrun their mistakes".

    That said, guys can still move around, track down balls, make effort plays. They don't all become Manny Ramirez. I wouldn't advice trying Ortiz in CF though. It's...not pretty (don't ask).
