    CPU sliders

Right now, I am on classic pitching at HOF level.
    Contact 5
    Power 5
    Timing 4
    Solid 4

    Control and consistency 5

Thinking about changing to Allstar pitching with
    Contact 6
    Power 5
    Timing 5
    Solid 4

    Control and consistency 4

Which do you think is more fair and balanced?

Just cannot find the right balance this year as far as variety.

    Re: CPU sliders

Ive got nearly those same sliders on AS difficulty except I have CPU solid hits at 6 and the CPU sits and stares at pitches and rarely does much of anything of note. I still havent found a way to get the CPU offense going with any consistency unfortunately.

Having the exact same problem. Definitely killing the enjoyment of this game.

Fellas, try my sliders. I know they're legend, don't be afraid, just try them.

Raise contact to 7 for All-Star and Solid hits to 5, imo. Then, see. You might not need the 4 Solid Hits on All-Star.

Difficulty acts as sort of a "base modifier" to sliders (higher than All-Star "nerfs" yours and "buffs" CPUs), part of why it can be more/less difficult. It also changes the AI's "mentality", which can be another factor for challenge and results.

Or, if you like the way the CPU attacks you at the plate on HoF, lower your control/consistency to 4 but stay on HoF and see if that helps any.

            Re: CPU sliders

To add to my previous post I'm using 6/5/5/3/6 and the CPU is basically hitting it hard when they actually square it up but the average is still abysmal. Over the month of May the CPU is hitting a ridiculous 0.211 over the span of 20 games so not a small sample size. I'm close to raising contact to 7 and backing off solid hits to 5 and seeing if that works, or basically what KBLover just said above lol. I honestly think solid hits at 6 is probably too much, the CPU tends to get more extra base hits instead of singles so the average doesnt go up, they just have better placement of where the batted ball lands now. Here are the ERA's of my starting rotation...

            Clayton Kershaw (5-3, 1.64 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, 64 K's, 22 BB's, 65.2 IP)
            Hyun-Jin Ryu (4-1, 2.57 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 39 K's, 7 BB's, 63.0 IP)
            Scott Kazmir (4-3, 2.85 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 50 K's, 9 BB's, 60.0 IP)
            Alex Wood (3-2, 2.37 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 22 K's, 9 BB's, 57.0 IP)
            Kent Maeda (6-1, 1.83 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 49 K's, 8 BB's, 64.0 IP)

As you can see my rotation is murdering the CPU with regularity which is why Im sitting with the best record in baseball right now through nearly the end of May. If you try the same setup Id love to hear your results.

CPU contact at 7 and solid hits at 5 is what I have right now with power and timing at 5 and foul frequency at 3.

What are you using for hum pitch control and consistency?

HUM control at 2 and consistency at 0. I had control set to three for a long time but wasn't walking anyone.

I am betting that raising contact to 7 and then timing to five will make a difference for you. How are your K's per nine? These should at least help the computer make contact.

Another though is that you may actually want to DROP solid hits to 3 or 4. Thoughts their is less liners to your outfielder and more bloopers, bleeders etc that go between the infield and outfield.
