what do you think about lowering the power slider in order for more realistic HRs distances since it directly affects it? I'm not sure if it will decrease the amount, the distance or both though.

I have seen a couple of glitches or bugs in the game so far; 1-sometimes the CPU swings look out of wack completely. 2-Playing against the Nats I hit a fly ball to left hooking foul, the LF kept running even though he was already at the wall and magically the ball came back like a boomerang and he caught it like WTH! Have you seen this?

I've never used rosters from download, do I just go the the vault and download and play with them?

I see a lot of people love the rosters, what exactly do they do (edit attributes, gear, actual rosters?) and can you update during a season/franchise?

Sliders are playing great fellas. I also turn on a CPU vs CPU game when I'm taking a break or on my computer and getting great games there too

This game is the best

I have to admit, I was skeptical of your sliders for a number of reasons. I've always been a zone hitter/analog pitching type of player. Felt more in control. But I laid off the game last year but with the Cubs winning the WS, I am playing every baseball game I can. Ok, just the Show and OOTP 18.
Anyway, because I was struggling with many aspects of the game, hitting and pitching (I couldn't hit, but also wasn't striking out) I decided to give the sliders a shot. I am playing franchise, until the OSFM rosters come out and then I start a "real" franchise. Let me say, I am now a convert.
I played Cubs vs. Indians spring training game last night and just wow! I was so immersed in the game, largely because of your sliders. I was a little worried at first because I was suddenly striking out and not hitting anything. It wasn't until the seventh inning that I finally discovered patience and waiting for my pitch was key to hitting (I was being one hit to that point). I came from behind to win 4-2 and felt connected to every aspect of the game.
Power numbers seem a tad high, but then again, I only played one game. So I'll give it a handful more games and tweak the game to fit my style of play. But thanks for the hard work.

Love your set as usual. Are you seeing too many successful pickoff attempts by the CPU? At 6 it feels like every time I take a lead I get picked off. Gonna try to bring it back down to 5 and see how that plays.

Have you checked the quirks of the players who are picking you off? Some SPs have the pickoff artist quirk.

Love your set as usual. Are you seeing too many successful pickoff attempts by the CPU? At 6 it feels like every time I take a lead I get picked off. Gonna try to bring it back down to 5 and see how that plays.

I left a note about the HR distances in the 17 Moonshot thread. Check that out. As A&S noted, there appears to be a maths related thing going on in calculating the distances and thus what distance it shows the players hitting the ball on HRs. I think the "dice rolls" that decide whether or not it's a homerun are fine, it's purely a problem on what it decides to use for exit velocity that's the issue. I detail this in that other thread.

Click strike frequency up 1 if it bothers you but great pitchers will be fine hood ones too, lower rated will struggle more!
But strike frequency at 3 should work better for you if you want more.
