So I know it is way too small of a sample...But I am 4 games into my Reds season and I am seeing way too many HRS.

I have hit 12 HRS so far.

Duvall has hit 4, Votto 2, Mesoraco 3, Suarez 1, and Cozart 1.

I have allowed 13 HRS in the 4 games.

It seems to me almost every fly ball ends up in a HR.

And they are all no doubt bombs.

This is not a knock on the slider set either, I love this game and this set every year.

it just seems this year the HRS are way too easy to hit.

Not nearly enough of a sample size. You got mys to be patient and trust the settings.

I have now over 33 franchise games played with various rosters classic and current. Trust the settings my man.

And to add onto what armor said...double check your franchise slider settings...it is SO easy to mess them up...you think everything is ok, but then realize they aren't...I can't tell you how many times I have done this.

I know, like I said it is way too small of a sample.
The same thing happened last year.
Votto started off with 18 HRS after like 30 games, he ended up with 41 for the year in my season.
The only thing that concerns me is the long hrs I am hitting.
Votto hit one over the RF moon deck and into the River at GABP for me last night.
I had never done that before in any past seasons.
Duvall hit the LF scoreboard too, I am hitting monster HRS.

I hit 10 homers in 2 games. A 4 homer game and then hit 6 the next game. I have hit 1 in the last 5 games now. I'm 1-4 in those games after winning 6 out of 7..Trust the settings! 26 games now with these settings I'm 14-12.

That is the MO of this iteration. Sliders will not get rid of the distance. Enjoy the moon shots....they sure are awesome to see. While not entirely realistic...it is damn fun.

When I decided to not care how long the home runs were I enjoy this game more than ever. I've actually been very surprised , pleasantly, to see many home runs in the 300's. I'm having extremely realistic games with homerun spreads all over the board. Some games there are none and some games there are 2 of 3. There has been the occasional game where i see 4or 5 combined home runs as well. That doesn't bother me at all. One thing that stands out is that Elite pitchers don't get taken deep often. That's all that matters to me

Well said. This game is seriously amazing. I know I keep saying it and singing it's praises, but each game get's better and better and I see more and more variety.

This morning I streamed a 1988 (PJSnells 1988 roster from 14) game between the Cardinals and Pirates.

Cards starter Jose De Leon's pitching line in a 4-2 Cards win?

7 IP 8H 2ER 1BB 2K 88 Pitches

Took the bump to start the 8th inning and gave up a sharply hit lead off single to Andy Van Slyke. Then they went to the pen.

I did report a bug though. Tony Pena hit a 2R HR at PNC Park. The ball bounce off the top of the CF fence hitting the yellow and falling over the fence.

They rules it a ground rule double. I have the video of it as well. So obviously a detection issue with that one.

No vibration is a total game-changer, in a very good way. Pitching at times in this game became way too stagnant as my pitcher could get into a groove and mow down the CPU fairly easily. Not anymore. I've actually had situations where I've had to put down the controller and calm myself down. Kind of like a pitcher taking a little walk around the mound to settle himself. I've been knocked around my last 3 games giving up 9, 14, and 9 runs and I loved every second of it. Good stuff.

Absolutely agree! I have never been more happy to get bombed 9-1 in my life. My pitch count is elevated now I have been over 80 pitches twice now in the 5th inning. But have also worked into the 8th. This is great I am walking more batters than I ever had before. My high is 5 but at least walking 2 per game whereas it used to be 0 to 1. I struggled so much in the 9-1 loss I didn't get out of the 3rd with my starter. I love it!!

Using random teams I had a 36 pitch first inning with Steven Wright of the Red Sox. His knuckleball was all over the place. Finally got it working in the 4th inning and was able to get to 2 outs in the 6th before pulling him with 91 pitches.

I'm having an issue with the CPU SP pitch counts, they are just constantly pounding the K zone, no matter who it is. Anyone else running into this? I take a very cautious approach at the plate, I love taking pitches, but pitchers are having like 10-15 pitches max per inning.

It's a hard one but Patience is the key. Try to get the count in your favor and look for a certain pitch. Don't swing unless you get that exact pitch. Easier said than done I still get swing happy and when I do I struggle. When I'm selective at the plate I rake. And then sometimes you're just overmatched and sometimes your player's slump. Very realistic!
