I think I am going to take Armor's advice and only change one thing at a time. I am going to raise CPU contact and leave solid hits and power at 4....and leave my control and consistency at 2. The CPU just needs to have a little better average and strike out a little less (which raising contact should help). The CPU should also hit more home runs by lowering the control and consistency as well, IMO.....Ultimately, it should raise CPU average, CPU walks and CPU home runs. That is my goal, so I am going to do it in increments....starting with raising CPU Contact.

That is why I am going just one step at a time.

      CPU Contact - 6
      CPU Power - 4
      CPU Solid Hits - 4

Coupled with the suggestion of HUM Control and Consistency at 2

My gut feeling is that is going to be the balance we seek.

Yeah the control and consistency at 2 sounds like a good idea I will definitely be trying that. My only problem is that with the power at 4 the computer wasn't scoring at all for me. Like I said I'm 28th in the league in home runs allowed with 58 but first and earned runs at 112. So I'm worried that without the homeruns they won't score much.

Well I have had cpu power and solid hits at 5 for a while and I love the results and they hit variety just a few too many home runs but that's okay. I have now tested 20 games with computer contact at 6 and it is definitely more challenging and I hope with moving the consistency and control down to two it will make it even tougher to pitch I will do that tonight

Anyone using this set with Meter pitching and getting too many strikeouts? I usually get 1 to 2 strikeouts per inning. Anyone have an adjustment or should I just bite the bullet and giving Classic pitching a try?

I play with Analog - its more fun for me, but i know it gives me too much control compared to classic.

You're going to have to bump up the difficulty so the CPU gives you more of a threat. I use these sliders for everything but pitching, since I use analog. Started with Dynamic and going to stay there, right now it has me at HOF

We are testing tweaks and things I have been really thinking about for a good 15-20 games now. Our franchise game sample is over 50 games played.

Figure by Monday/Tuesday Version 2.5 will be updated.

Then of course we evaluate the forth coming patch 1.04 notes and hopefully lock it all down for 2017.

I have no ETA knowledge on the forth coming major gameplay patch.

One of my main reasons for leaving the solid hit and power slider on 5 is because I think the patch is going to adjust some of the power numbers

Yeah this was my approach regarding leaving the power numbers at 5. If you leave power at 5, I personally was seeing a few too many homeruns. So how could I increase the CPU offense without giving up more homeruns? Lowering my pitching sliders to 2 for control/consistency did the trick. The CPU will have rallies more often rather than bashing HR's. Switching the sliders to 2 might seem drastic to some people, but it's really not. Your elite pitchers still feel elite. I play as the Mets and I still have a great team ERA in the low 3s. Your bullpen will be more susceptible and you guys who play as teams where starting pitching is more a of a weakness may feel this impact a little more.

I gotta say I love that idea of switching manager hook to 7 for the bullpen. That is a great idea and credit to Mike where it's due. For me, I don't notice the SP issue many people claim to be having, but as Armor mentioned, I do feel relievers stay in the game too long after giving up runs. If a reliever doesn't give up any runs, fine keep him in. But after he gives up a few runs, I've noticed the CPU leaves them in and sort of takes themselves out of the game in the late stages.

I'm not big on changing sliders after I set them and start whatever I am playing. Now if the 2.0 (Is the one I think I am currently running or might be 1.5) ever gets to easy or the patch that will show up when it's ready comes, then I will change. I just don't want to fall into a slideritis lol. The games are playing great for me and this set really works well.

I'm very much for classic pitching. But, if you want to be a meter guy, then why not look at other sets on here designed for meter and then use the user pitcher settings for a meter set and user armor's for everything else?

Because that made too much sense for me to think of. Looks like TNK uses meter so maybe I'll give his CPU Batting sliders a try.

My early thoughts on this test with pitcher control and consistency on 2 is that it is Impossible for the bullpen to get outs. This is with cpu contact on 6 as well. I'm striking out less which is good. In two games I have given up 12 runs and 27 hits.
