So I can't really comment on HRs fully, but I am not seeing many if any HRs in some games compared to others. After the first two games, I was concerned, but I stand by our philosophy of sample size around 20. So we will continue to test.
Are these total HR's in a game (both user and CPU) or just user?

      4. Press/hold X? This is the point where i can't figure it if you should tap or press it. Not sure what was concluded.
This is the 'art' of classic pitching...the answer is both and neither. Duration of the button press has an impact. Tap it, and pitches have less velocity, a loopier break, but better control. Holding down is less control, more velocity and sharper break. Both have their uses depending situation.

It's sort of like pitchers adding and subtracting velocity from their pitches....

This is my first time playing the show. Can you go past the little vibration? what's the sweet spot?

I've never understood if its only tap or hold, or if holding and releasing halfway before the vibration does anything?

Yes as well as your timing if you swing early and make contact you have a better chance of pulling the ball you swing a little late and make contact you have a chance of going opposite field.

the vibration would be more of feeling the power meter all the way up and missing pass the center mark when it comes back around. the tapping and holding like josh said really is a feel of nature in the game.

They seem pretty good! 12 total HR's in 7 games even seems a bit low after last seasons power spike. I usually look for 1 HR per team, per 9... maybe a little bit more.

I played the Show for years and was a big zone hitting guess pitch guy until the last few years where I discovered this site and particularly the slider stuff, A&S&M is always the best IMO. Since then, I have loved the realistic feel of no guess pitch and directional hitting...

I've seen different takes on directional hitting, but for me I just swing (not directional input) about 99.8% of the time. Is this how the majority of you do it or do you hold the left stick in a direction the majority of the time?

Related: Even though I don't ever use direction to hit, often times my cursor is moved automatically in the swing feedback. Any ideas why?

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but since I'm using these sliders and following this thread the most, thought I'd ask here. Thanks for all responses.

I never use the stick to influence direction, I just swing and let the timing do the job. The only time I use the stick is when bunting, and I don't do that often.

                            hello,

have you simulated several season with ur quik manage/cpu sim sliders ? I would be the overall ERA of the league is no more than 3.50 and that SP are too dominant. Maybe I am wrong. I just decided to basically quick manage all the games this year on the schedule, as the LRP is way over-used. I saw Adam Warren go 21-1 !!!! they are pitching 150+ IP.

The “PCI” when using directional hitting moves itself based on player ratings. And the size of the PCI is based on the players ratings as well.

I play exactly like you have stated. I never use directional just time it and swing. So as for right now with what little I have been able to play I'm not seeing massive totals of dingers, and haven't really seen any true bombs yet.
