    24% misses+Ks (only struck out 5 times)
    Babip .310

This plays SO well. I felt like I could punish the cpu if they left something hanging but that if I swung at garbage I wouldn't be rewarded. Mix of singles, doubles and a couple home runs (playing power 2 as before) LOVE IT!
Interesting. Yeah, I know we're like 1 click away for user being a really good balance, so maybe I'll try what you did with solid hits at 6 instead of contact at 6 for user.

I think it's worth a try. I've always found zone hitting means I strike out less once I get my timing straight. I literally popped up or grounded out my first 4 batters and took it straight back down having tried contact at 6! I play with the swing feedback on so I could see how far away the reticle was and I really had no business making contact let alone hitting a pop up to shortstop. Interesting to see your results too!

So having been 2 hit shutout in the first game of the series, scoring 7 runs on 11 hits in game 2 felt great. Promptly suffered a 3 hit shutout in game 3!

Babip for me .125, cpu .217

Nevertheless, I feel like this is my fault. I'm tired (it's late in the uk) and I let the cpu off the hook a couple of times. I think this set now might be the one for me!

Hey guys! I've just purchased my 1st ever Play Station....essentially just for the Show and plan on using these sliders.

I don't want to jump the gun since I don't have it yet, but I love the idea behind these sliders and have been watching the games on youtube to prep for the changes...one concern I had was I saw Mike pop out a LOT in one of the games. It felt like almost every out was a pop up. Is that just something that will happen to make the rest of the stats okay, or is that something that you are working to fix?

This segways beautifully into v1.8. A few of you mentioned the key might be putting user solid contact at 6, and damn, you guys are correct.

Just won a game 3-2 in 13 innings. In a game that long even, the data held true perfectly as I finally had a BABIP of .313! AI just. 257, so the first time in 7 games I kept them in check.

Everything played out to the other measurables, and neither team hit a HR which alleviates the concerns I had about solid contact possibly inflating those numbers. Truly beautiful!

Updating first post now to v1.8. You'll love these!

What I'm curious about now, how do errors and fielding % look for you all? I have zero errors through 7 games, but the AI has had some sprinkled in, and we obviously share those sliders.

Re: Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

Hey Mike I was using the last version of your sliders and the offense on both sides was a little low. So I changed the solid hits for the CPU and myself to 6. I also put the power for the CPU and myself to 2 (I use directional hitting), and man Im having a blast! I restarted my Cubs franchise and just played the first 3 games against the Cards.

                1st game: Won 8-3.
                My BABIP- .304
                CPU BABIP- .250

                2nd game: Lost 3-1.
My BABIP- .087 (Wainwright was killing me and I got super impatient lol)
                CPU BABIP- .250

                3rd game: Won 6-3.
                My BABIP- .292
                CPU BABIP- .321

Im also still striking out a lot. I think upping contact might make it to easy to not strikeout. I honestly feel like I have it setup perfectly for myself.

                Thanks a lot Mike!

I'm through the first month in my Indians chise and I've only got 6 errors in 26 games. Our fielding percentage is .992, which is 5th best in the league. The last ranked team is the Dbacks at .979 fielding percentage and 20 errors.

Seems this needs a bump. Who has your errors, outfielders? Infielders?

I just had a throwing error in my last game with Kipnis. All but 1 of my errors on the year were by infielders.

Mike Lowe MLB The Show '17 Sliders

I'm pondering dropping my hitting down to All-Star and seeing how it goes. Through the first month of my franchise my BABIP is 280.

My main issue is Im not seeing enough XBH on my side. I'm ranked 26th in doubles, next to last in triples, and my slugging % is 26th in the league. I'm seeing realistic numbers from EE, Brantley, and Kipnis as far as averages go. Plus EE is leading the league in HRs and RBI. I have a few guys struggling to stay around .200 though. Lots of weak singles coming from my other guys.

I would like to see more hit variety. EE hits a few bombs and slaps the occasional screaming line drive to the gap for a double but everybody else on my squad hits singles. And most of them are either bloopers or just scoot through the infield. Wanna see more line drives and some power behind those hits. Maybe dropping to AS will help? Hope to get a good bit of games in this weekend and I'll give some feedback.

FYI, my pitching has been pretty good. With the offense being a little low on my end, my pitching staff has thrown some good games to keep us in first place with a 16-9 record. Will keep the pitching settings as is while hoping to see a little more punch from my bats. Gonna keep chuggin along!

That doesn't sound too far off to me, especially just a month in. Are you now using solid hits at 6? Maybe bump that to 7 if you're already at 6. That has definitely helped get more singles through.

But yeah, trying All-Star doesn't hurt either. I'd tinker one thing at a time--don't go overboard because you definitely seem close.

Yeah I realized after writing that, that my stats and averages aren't too bad off after a month and should round out to about where they should be. Brantley is near the top in avg. and EE is leading in HR and RBIs. It's my other guys, that are slumping and not getting any hard hits, especially Lindor and Santana.

Like I mentioned, my main issue is weak singles and lack of XBH. I played my last 2 games with solid hits at 6, with one game going up against King Felix and didn't notice much difference. And I think you're right Mike, I believe I'll give solid hits a bump up to 7 and see what I see before trying AllStar.

Should get some games in tmrw morning and give some feedback. Enjoying the challenge.

Mike I started a Franchise using your sliders and am off to a good 2-1 record with the Braves. Obviously very small sample size but here is what I see. I seldom throw walks, only 3 in 3 games. I use API suggestions but I turned off vibration and pitch cursor as suggested. Should I switch to classic so there are more variables here? I do not strike guys out well either so maybe the batter contact is not allowing enough swing and misses? Hits and variety have been spot on and i believe power is great. Any thoughts on the contact? I have my videos up here.

Lastly, in my last game the CPU took out the starter after 68 pitches, 2h, 2BB and 2 er? This was with 2 outs in the 4th and no injury? That's not common but was something that caught my eye.
