Thank you for the response. I didn't know if that progress bar is higher in that level if that slightly makes it more difficult. For example if I hit a home run the progress bar raishe's a bit. Does that mean I'm just closer to the next level or is the difficulty level within Veteran+ go a little higher? I think I'm not making sense. Lol

My understanding is the levels are a step change not a gradual one...so the bar shows progression within a level but the difficulty only changes when you move a level entirely.

Just means you're getting closer to the next "level up." It's no different otherwise until the 'official' increase.

Sort of a trick question for me: I prefer to control just the one team, but fine 30-team control a necessity, especially since you can't switch later in a career. No one knows what future versions of this game will bestow upon us!

In other news, my Marlins are struggling! We've lost 4 straight now, and are 6 games below .500. 9 games out of our division, and like 6 from the wildcard.

              No! Pitching really is tough!

Have thought of adjusting the pitching because while i may not be some guru but i am fairly decent but i cant even get out of the first inning with the likes of lester and arrieta without giving up 1-3 runs

I love the idea of single team because I want my unique baseball universe, and I also enjoy having the GM goals. I just wish the goals were flexible. Just because I didn't win the WS within the 3 years but made 2 post season appearances shouldn't mean that I get fired, thats the huge flaw of single team with GM goals. Of course its easy just to shut off goals, but I also like that chance of being fired if my GM skills don't produce (with realistic goals/time frame)

So after that whole spew I play 30 team control because I can completely rebuild a team without being fired, and also switch teams down the road. Sort of like the Theo Epstein story, building up the Sox and getting that WS and challenging himself by taking over baseball operations for the Cubs.

I am completely with you but absolutely love the challenge though it is a love hate thing haha. I seriously give up 7 runs a game I have played about 10 games so far different teams and pitchers. I try to pitch corners and it either goes way outside or right down the middle and gets crushed.

Thank you, Mike, for all your hard work. So, from what I am reading these sliders are not for beginners to intermediate players? I have a problem where I can pitch really well. I haven't tried legend yet but I do well on HOF. My bat is atrocious though Mike. I hover between rookie and veteran. It's very embarrassing. I'm using the new Hybrid rosters for my Yankees franchise. I lost Judge and Gregorius for 2-3 months. I traded for Rajai Davis and Renato Nunez for Camarena (who was lights out in AA) Solak and Chase Headley. I got desperate and worried because I was 2nd in the AL. The problem is I relied too much on the HR ball (i play 4-5 games a month w/ some criticals also) I can't Hit for contact and when I do I pop out and 2play all the time. I use directional and all my good timing hits go foul or out. I get frustrated and lose my discipline. Do you make any tutorials on hitting and lineups (batting and pitching) I'm fairly new to the show and newer to this community so any tips would be awesome? Thanks so much in advance. Going to spend my night in the "batting cages" trying these sliders

I think there are some directional players in this group, but really these sliders have been developed for zone. I'm sure Mike will have some answers but I made the move to zone last year after always being a timing only guy and, whilst it takes a bit of getting used to, I now cannot go back! Whilst I like the idea of my player's stats affecting the outcome, I couldn't cope with the constant great timing, ball down the middle, pop up thing and wanted a bit more control. My suggestion is, have a go in the cages on zone and see how you do, you can always go back if you hate it!

In terms of pop ups etc, typically solid hits is a good slider to adjust (it's at 6 on this set) as it directly affects line drives vs weak hits.

I appreciate the reply. I'm going to try zone, I've been wanting to make the switch but, with my terrible hitting as it is I haven't pulled the trigger. Do you guys follow these sliders to the T? With the adjusted presentation/gameplay options? Or is this all flexible?

I think, from seeing Mike's replies on this before, everything is flexible, however I would say, the zero feedback pitching is fun (no marker, no vibration etc) but you can adjust to your own skills too, so if hitting is too hard or pitching too easy, for you, you can adjust accordingly. However, these are now very well adjusted and tested, so I'd give them a go for a few games and not get frustrated too quickly (if poss). The other thing to look at is the stats as per post 1, they really are a good judge of how the game is playing rather than just going on feel!

Lastly. Enjoy it! No point playing if you don't, so always take that into account!!!

So I'm trying out these sliders as I am writing this and it may be a stupid question but how do you aim your pitches without the strike box and the everything being empty? How am I suppose to pitch the corners with these? I'm using meter pitching BTW.
