I think I had a weird glitch at the end of my last match. I'm currently playing with the Dodgers and during a match against the Rockies, Kershaw has been injured after he has taken a huge hit on his foot. At this time, the score was 5-0 for me and I had to replace him

At the end, the stats said Kershaw pitched 4.0 IP but it was the first reliever who has been credited for the win. Is it normal or it's a bug ?

By the way, your sliders a really great !

As a starting pitcher you must go 5 innings to qualify for the win

Six games into this season and my "4th" ranked pitching staff has allowed 87 hits and 43 runs, both last in the league. 8 walks allowed and 35 strikeouts, best and worst respectively. Conversely my team is batting .329, second in the league only to the Braves. Not coincidentally I just got swept by the Braves lol.

I pitch from the '15 camera, same as hitting, and use API and classic fade on the ball cursor. Everything else is as posted. Just can't get guys out. Perfectly thrown pitches are a bit off the plate or right down the middle. I just pray every time I throw a slider, even in an 0-2 count. I try to hit the target given by the catcher or a little closer to the edges.

Hitting is closer to where my team should be except for a game against Rick Porcello and the Red Sox when I scored 23 runs on 27 hits and 7 home runs. I have 4 hitters batting over .400 but still early obviously.

In my franchise save with TNK's sliders I'm 52-6 and dominate way too easily. So I'm game for the challenge but I've played games with different pitchers and different settings and just don't get any kind of consistent average results.

Small sample size. I can say that a few years ago I was using that same set and getting the same results as you. Stick with it. Don't be afraid to walk people as you'll see an increase in strikeouts, walks, and less hits against (and worse contact, typically).

All a balance that just takes a little time. You can't be around the plate too much and expect to continually make it out alive.

5pm ET today I'll be streaming my Monday game of the Marlins franchise as we head to Wrigley Field for a 3-game set. We split with Arizona when we definitely should have taken 3 out of the 4 games.

I'm giving some thought to trading Giancarlo Stanton if things don't turn around by the trade deadline. He's constantly missing time due to fatigue or day-to-day injuries, and I'd rather move him will his stock is high.

We'll see though--if we make a push, we're going to need him.

I'm 2 games into a 3 game series against the Cubs in my Pirates franchise. They are extremely hard to close out! Both games they've walked off on me. I'll share...

                  - First game was 1-0 bottom 9, Tony Watson in to close. Struck out Bryant, then Schwarber hit a ball that may not have landed yet to tie it. Still 1 out, Russell has first and third, I'm thinking ok get a double play and get out of this and to extras. Single through the hole on the right side game over.

                  - Last game was Arrieta vs Cole. A Kang HR in the 1st was the only run until the 9th. I got an insurance run, 2-0, was feeling good about it. Cole was dealing, 8 shutout innings and was at 100 pitches. I decided to bring him back out for the 9th, Baez doubled, I pulled him and brought in the lefty Rivero. First batter he gets Rizzo to ground out to second, Baez goes to third but we got 1 out. Next better is Bryant and he singles to RF and all of the sudden it's 2-1. Schwarber up and he strikes out. 2 down. We got this. They pinch hit Szczur, struck him out! But the ball bounces off the catchers glove and half way to the dugout WHATTTTTT, so he makes it to first. I'm thinking you've gotta be kidding me, now Addison Russell is up again and boom, 3-run walkoff HR. I lost 4-2, Russell has walked off on me twice, and this one hurt because I had the game won if not for the crazy strikeout wild pitch/passed ball.

Just wanted to share that, other than the gut-wrenching defeats, it's a lot of fun. Currently at 7-4 and a game behind the Cubs. And my point in all of this is it is extremely hard to close out games, whether I'm up 7-0 or 1-0, it's never easy in the 9th, and I love it.

I just ending a 3 games losing streak (2 at Cubs, 1 at home against the D'backs) with the Dodgers by beating the D'backs 7-3 to tie the serie 1-1 (I'm playing all the games).

For now, the Dodgers (8-4) are sitting int the 1st place of the NL West, just 0.5 games ahead the Giants (8-5).

I'm really loving your sliders (All-Star pitching & hitting). Every match is different.

Lately I have seen very odd managerial pitching changes.... I was playing at Baltimore and everything seemed normal then they put in one reliever in the 7th and then the closer Britton for the 9th.. Britton had 2 outs but then back to back singles.... they took Britton out....

                      wtf?

This has happened 2 or 3 times now.....

Thinking of lowering CPU solid hits to -1 to 3. Thoughts on that?

                              Hey Mike,

I've been experiencing trouble with both striking out the CPU hitters as well as striking out myself, on any consistent basis. I play with the current slider set on Legendary pitching, All-Star hitting— I find that if I go down to HoF pitching it's too easy, and if I go up to HoF hitting its too difficult with this slider set. I'm not having any trouble getting the CPU hitters out, they simply don't strike out enough.

I was wondering if anyone was experiencing anything similar? I was thinking about turning the CPU contact down 1, and the CPU solid hits up 1 (to counter act each other in a sense).

                              Any help is appreciated.
