Can you share some actual stats? Much easier to diagnose that way.

I mean, it's entirely up to you. It's like asking me which girl to marry--you're the one who has to live with her, not me!

I am having the same problem. I am still able to get hitters out on Legend, but they hardly ever swing and miss or strike out. I am currently testing Rookie pitching Difficulty with CPU Contact on 10, Power 5, Timing 5, Solid Hits 4, Foul Frequency 0, and seeing pretty good swing and miss results. Very small sample size though, and the CPU isn't quite scoring as many runs as I'd hope they would so far.

I hope you don't mind me chiming in but it is important to you to decide what kind of team you want? Win now team -- Houston. Up and comers -- Rockies, Yankees. Project teams -- dbacks, Miami. Also, check out the White Sox. Kind of boring for the first couple months of the 2017 season but lots of pitching prospects and pieces to trade. You could turn them into the 90's Braves...or the 2017 Mets!

Agreed. It's all about what type of team you want. I really like the middle of the road teams. Ones that could go either way as Mike as said he did with he Marlins. So what I did for myself is took every team that was rated from 11-20 in the game. (I needed to give myself some sort of restriction or else I'd never decide). Then I asked myself what I wanted. I wasn't really looking for prospects but wanted a solid team around the board with a solid defense. Essentially I ended up with Baltimore. With that said, my suggestion is to give yourself some criteria too look for and then decide what you want in your team. If you play all games in a season like I do, you want to ensure you enjoy winning and losing with your team.

So my franchise is with the Mets and I've played every single game so far, and I'm 75 games into the season. I've only struck out 346 times (2nd place in the league has 455). I've struck the computer out 565 times...diving in a little deeper into that last stat: Noah Syndergaard has 97 K in 96 IP, and Jacob deGrom only has 74 K (!) in 99 IP. Both are top of the line strikeout pitchers but this isn't reflected. My biggest concern is that I'm not having trouble getting outs (I have the 2nd best ERA in the league) it's just that I don't get nearly enough strikeouts. In my last 2 games, both starts with Sybergaard and deGrom, I pitched 7 innings as each and the had 5K and 4K respectively.

Please let me know how this works out for you. I've never thought of playing on a lower difficulty but stacking the sliders against me— the reason being that I've been pretty dedicated to Mike's sliders and they've worked so well for me in he past. I've always made small tweaks to Mike's sets to adjust to my style of play but I've never had this much trouble with strikeouts/contact rate.

So for a while now I felt this game is cheesing me..... whether the ball goes through my bat on breaking balls or always getting thrown out at home plate ( I play auto fielding and baserunning but it's only my team making errors... go figure)... I just plugged in these sliders and I must say there fantastic

I've been pretty decent at pitching with these sliders, although I do get banged around a ton (pause)...

What I find most helpful in getting strikeouts is pitching off-speed under the knees or diving away from the knees outside of the strike zone.

My pitching philosophy is weird, but it works:
"Where can I place the ball in or around the zone, that the batter can't create enough torque for a solid base hit?" I try to keep the batter off balance to keep them honest at the plate, and I also pitch in accordance to their knees -- can they adjust their knees and hips to really put a charge into the ball?

I know, the game isn't that deep. But, these sliders really make you pitch as if the batter is a real life person.

Attack the knees, hips and hands of the batter/ change speeds. You'll see a lot more swing and misses.
