What are you slider makers thinking of to compensate for this? Maybe come together and figure it out because as of now the game is drastically different and not in a good way at all. First time I have ever said that about any MLBTS game. Especially after a patch!
The main thing I noticed they did to "tune down" opposite field homeruns or homeruns in general was to decrease the ball velocity off the bat by quite a bit!
This is causing balls not to travel for extra base hits now and far less homeruns obviously.
The thing it also eliminated were those "seeing-eye" singles through the IF. With my defensive slider set up it was perfect! Before, balls that were hit hard on the ground would sometimes find a hole for a single. But NOW the velocity off the bat is so slow that I've yet to see a ground ball get through the IF in 6 or 7 games played.
Also, I am now not seeing liners go over the ss or 2b in the gaps. If they do they travel so slowly the OF is there tp stop it for a single.
This patch has caused MAJOR problems offensively and it only takes one game played to notice the velocity off the bat is whack.
My idea is to raise solid hits (which I have at 7 anyway so staying there). But also raise power slider. When I read the description of what power does it is exactly what is now missing offensively. Extra base hits, and balls traveling further.
Anyways, sorry for the long post! JMO, but ball velocity off the bat was pretty much the only thing I noticed changed, which affected the hitting overall quite a bit as I explained. Thanks!
