Pitch Like a Hall of Famer! Sliders included.

What's up Fellas! I thought I would pass on some pitching tips and the settings/sliders I'm using and doing well on.

Settings: HOF meter, Ball Marker is on and Classic(starting point).

    Sliders: Human Accuracy 3
    Human Consistency 5
    Stamina is Default (5)
    CPU Contact 5
    CPU Power 5
    CPU Foul Freq 4
    CPU Solid Hits 5
    CPU Timing 5
    Everything else is user preference.

Strategy: Pitching at this level, your skill at landing the release point is crucial to your success (As it should be)

4 seam fastballs with lefty pitchers cut inside to right hand batters and right hand pitchers 4 seam breaks like a two seam but nearly as much as one. You want to place the ball marker a little to the left of where your trying to hit.

Curve Ball: Aim this 2 ball lengths up and one length left for lefties or right for righties.

Sliders depend alot on pitcher ratings but just assume this will break 2 ball lengths and one ball length down. You HAVE to get the release right or you will hang one.

Change ups: Aim 1 ball length up no matter what the marker says cause the meter is the factor. Min power this pitch breaks more obviously.

Splitter and Sinker: These pitches you want to use on 2 strikes and use about half way between min and max power and aim it right on the bottom of the strike zone and you will get them to swing and miss. Runner on 1st with 1 out aim these about 1 or 2 lengths above the bottom strike zone line for double plays.

Cutters: These break about 2 lengths and bust these in and high on both righties and lefties or aim directly on the outside line of the strike zone to break away from hitters.

Approach: I usually will mix up these approaches later in the game or I will roll with one that's working really good

#1 Sequence Fastball High and In, Change low and outside, Slider/Cutter High and outside, Change low and inside. repeat if AB is still going

#2 Sequence. Curve or Any Breaking Ball for a strike middle in, Fastball High and In, Sinker or Splitter or whatever the pitchers strike out pitch low and outside.

Basically all the sequences I use work off of opposites. If I throw hard high and inside the next pitch is off speed low and outside followed by hard high outside to follow that with off speed low and in.

You don't need to max out the meter ever. You can use some power ahead of the count but that's about all you'll need but just remember that on min power the ball will drop a touch from where your aiming it..

I use Strike Zone on BTW and I typed this off the top of my head so I know I'm missing a ton of stuff. I feel like I got pitching mastered so let me know if I can be of some help. Thanks
