Fastball/Offspeed Pitch Speed
Does fastball speed include sinker, 2 seam, etc. or only straight up 4 seam? Or are they affected by offspeed pitch speed? I started thinking about this as I have offspeed speed 3 clicks lower than fastball speed.

Re: Fastball/Offspeed Pitch Speed
I have been messing with this and can't find a sweet spot, so I left it actually with offspeed 1 click above fastball. To answer your initial question, all fastballs, cutters, sinkers are fastballs/curves/sliders/change-ups are offspeed. -
Re: Fastball/Offspeed Pitch Speed
That makes sense. I started with fastball at 4 and offspeed at 7. Reason being I use show 15 camera zoomed back a little and I couldn't recognize the pitch, if it was a fastball it'd be by me by the time I recognized it as a fastball. That's why my fastball slider wasn't higher. 7 offspeed still made it slower than a fastball but not by much. I'm still early 50% of the time on change ups and curves, especially low curves. Recently I've dropped fastball to 3 to give myself more time to recognize what's a ball. At 4 I was still swinging at pitches way off the plate.

Re: Fastball/Offspeed Pitch Speed
I should add I play on veteran hitting. I'm just not very good at recognizing pitches. I have read the point about switching to a computer monitor instead of a tv but I can't bring myself to do it. Playing on a monitor just doesn't feel like playing on a console.
