    Hitting Question

So question guys... I've been hitting extremely well since the last patch.. Do you guys recommend I lower contact a click or two? I don't want to get 13 hits every game.

Do you play zone, directional, or analog? What sliders are you using and what difficulty level?

Whats the CPU pitching sliders at? Lower those much at all and I found that they left way too many pitches out there to be hit inflating your average.

            Re: Hitting Question

If pitch location is your concern, then lowering CPU strike frequency will be good for you. CPU strike frequency controls how often the CPU pitches to the corners as opposed to "just getting a strike", so it doesn't have the direct impact on ball/strike ratio as the name implies, just an indirect impact.

Weird, from my experience this is one slider I wouldn't have lowered. When I did have it lowered the CPU fell behind in the count more frequently, then when behind they would challenge more which led to more hits as well as HR's.

I don't know what he has the CPU Pitching sliders at but when I was on All-Star directional I had them at default and they pitched better, almost too good.

What do you have Human Timing set at? With zone hitting, this would be the first thing I would look at if performing too well. Mike Lowe has his timing all the way down to 1 with his zone hitting sliders.

                    Re: Hitting Question

My timing was at 4. I decided to go back to default All star, I lowered contact a click and took solid hits down a click. I got the averages where I want them to be but In four games I hit one Homer and this is with legendary rosters. If I put solid hits hack up to 5 I pull to many homers.. I thought about leaving solid hits and 4 and maybe moving power up a notch? Thoughts?

I also thought about moving the solid hits back up to 5 and maybe moving power down to four?

                        Hey Guys.

Has anyone started the proper batting and pitching stance for players in this years game MLB The Show 18?
