Betances gave up the dinger on his first pitch to him.

Trevor Rosenthal gave up the lead by yielding a HR to Zach Cozart on his first pitch.

Sevi pitched 6 strong innings. Giving up just 1 run and fanning 9.

We gotta rally here. And we have left so many on base tonight.

    I love this game!!!!

Crushing 6-5 loss on opening day.

I was stunned by the feisty Orioles!

          Welp 161 more to go!

Really wiped. Tomorrow morning we will have a fresh thread for 19 with all our settings and we can start our discussions in earnest about our franchises, highs and lows as well as some March To October stuff and classic roster seasons etc.

19 is truly amazing and after a full week with the game I will post my full impressions!!!

I am blown away though at how fantastic this game plays at near HOF default folks. Save for a few critical tweaks in certain spots as discussed. The game is so well balanced out of the box.

          Just magnificent!!!

Looks like a patch is coming today. But it doesn't look like it is changing anything to the amazing gameplay that we have been getting. It looks to just be cleaning up some things.

Orioles sweep the series from me, then I came back with an 8-3 win against the tigers. Not too out of the ordinary because as you know the O's took 2 out of 3 from the yanks this weekend. Ouch

Bleep this game is good! By far the best of the series. The fielding is glorious. No hiccups and animations not catching yet. I feel the infielder errors are a bit too much as I've seen at least one in the 3 games I've played. Not these settings btw, just in general so far at default even.

This last game I played I was the Cubs vs. the Pirates. Before the game I got a note about Rizzo having Elbow inflamation in warmups and I should take him out. Just to see what happened I left him in. He had a couple hits but he nearly cost the game. I started Lester instead of Quintana even thought it was Quintana's turn. The off days allowed me to do so. Well, 4 pitches into the game Lester takes one off the leg and is out of the game.
So, I throw Quintana in since he was supposed to start anyway. He throws a gem. 7 IP of no run baseball.

Top 9 I'm up 2-0. I gave up a leadoff single. Three pitches later a taylor made double play ball is hit to Rizzo. He throws to 2nd and it's off line (elbow inflammation?) so 1st and 2nd nobody out. The Pirates end up having 1 out with runners on 2nd and 3rd. I allow one run so it's a 2-1 game with two outs. I got Starling Marte to fly out to get the win.

Although Baez made an error on a routine grounder, holy flip is he fun to play defense with. His animations, sense of time, and smoothness is just absolutely incredible. Defense, especially infielders play a massive role in this game.

If the devs could finally decide to fix the rocket bunts and poor catcher ability blocking balls in the dirt, this game would be near perfect game play wise. The blocking balls specifically, considering it takes out a whole element of the game with trying to get hitters to chase at balls in the dirt. I don't even want to throw them with a runner on base because I have no confidence the ball will get blocked. I'd say 1 out of 4 gets blocked and no runners advance.

FYI the new Pre-pitch Presentation must have been fixed for QC games now via the new patch.

EDIT: I'm loving this year even more. And existing AS sliders in 19 makes the game feel so much better than 18. Happy with my purchase.

I am actually looking at errors as I type this. I agree I have seen just a tad more than I like......but...but I love that fielders bobble a little more and are not vacuum cleaners 99.9% we are going to have 98.5 or 99.1 and I want to see a large sample size in terms of fielding %’s.

                          So sit tight.

I have seen errors slow down a bit. My first 5 games they were crazy. I'm also loving the bobbles and errors in the game. I didn't think there were enough in 18. I think sample size is key with this slider. I'm 17 games in so far.

I have also seen more total errors than last year, but they have been sporadic, which I don't mind.

I'll go 2 or 3 games without seeing any errors and then have a game or two with 2 or 3 errors by one team. I think that's realistic. I actually really like how it's kind of unpredictable and all over the place.

Definitely agree that a long sample size is needed to determine whether or not a slider adjustment needs to be made.

I certainly appreciate all the work that goes into these rosters, but any idea as to when they will be available? Don’t want to start my franchise without them.

Thanks for your work on these rosters.
