What would you change to get more doubles? I’m hitting too many singles and homeruns. 19% of hits are homeruns and I want that down to closer to 10%. CPU is at 12% of hits are doubles and I would like that to be about 19%.

I would drop power 1 and raise solid hits 1 to decrease HR and increase 2B's. I am 12th in the league in doubles right now and 4th in home runs, which for the Yanks is about right. If those numbers start to skew those are the sliders I would address first.

        I do the same thing.

I believe that is good. That is what I did in the past as well. I don't have much data yet to make a comparison for this year, but since you brought it up it will be something I that watch for to get the averages some where in the ball park of +/- of 2-3 % of the league average.

I am still pusing through Spring Training. I plan to still play a few more games. Right now I am 2-3 so I may play about 5-10 more then start the official season. I believe things are falling in to place with the sliders and modifiers.

Great feedback on your Blog BYU!

BYU I am doing exact OP settings except Allstar for both pitching and hitting. Great so far!! Last game 2-1 walk off win in bottom of 13th over Nationals with my Bravos.

So far the fielder speed of 2 is working well. I will provide more updates. I don't think zero is the answer again this year, but definitely 1 or 2.

I am seriously looking at 3 right now, which I haven't tried since early on (several patches back) and then it seemed to produce too many doubles. through 15 games thus far I am 11th in MLB in doubles and 4th in triples, which I have 5 of over my last 4 games. 3 of them have come in Detroit though and they do have a very triples friendly expanse in centerfield.

I am going to keep an eye on 2, I have been hitting some good doubles in the gap which should have been doubles. I only have 1 triple all of Spring Training because I forced it and he was just barely safe. I will provide feedback on the extra base hits. I can say though I have still seen the CPU run down and catch some nicely hit balls, even laying out for them in some cases that saved extra base hits.

You still have base runner speed at 4 Coach?

Got more games in. It’s been a brutal season. We are 49-81 currently. Losing 100 games is very likely at this rate haha. Can’t wait for off-season so I can start this rebuild and bring someone in here that can lift this team.

Rockies Sweeped me in a 3 game series. They just killed me. 3-6 loss, 5-10 loss and a 1-10 loss. Stats good, my bullpen just killing me. Giants series we lost 1-2. 3-2 loss and a 6-4 win. Then my bullpen decided in game four to blow a 5-2 lead in the 9th to lose it 5-8. Moving on to the Arizona series I’m currently playing.

1-1. First game I won it 4-3. A beautiful throw from CF to home got the go ahead tie run out to end it. Next game it wasn’t the best. My SP rookie debut he wasn’t the most impressive giving up 3 hits, 3 runs, 2 Walks, but 5 strikeouts in 4.2 innings before he was gassed out. ( wasn’t 100% ready at this point but I wasn’t risking using another guy that had a 5.42 ERA.) he showed a lot of potential and hope so can’t wait. But zunino bottom fourth tied it up with a three man homer. But later one our bullpen guys leaves a floater over the plate and Goldie blasts it for a three man homer. Lost it 4-6. So far everything is playing pretty good. My team is quite frustrating to deal with haha.

Yes. I have left the base runner speed at 4. That seems to be good all around and not too over powering. I have modifiers that will give the +/- so 4 is a good base line.

I am going to go with 3 Fielder speed for a few games then, and also start hitting on my HOF settings.

My only issue at this point is my BA is a bit higher than I think it should be, but I don't want to fool with All-Star contact since most people are having a good experience with them. I think between moving to HOF and changing the fielder speed things should level out, with my BA dropping a bit.

I agree. As I push through Spring Training, I will use AS for now but I think I agree. I will transition to HOF prior to the regular season. My timing in getting better and I am knocking off that rust. I am only batting .231, but that is continuing to improve over the past few games compared to my first few. Remember I was no hit on HOF my very first game in Spring Training. That has never happened to me before ever. I will continue to track things including the fielder speed.

My average is kinda high too. The only thing I’m scared of in HOF is not hitting solid contact. But I played with HOF with the Giants and now I have a better offensive team with the Yankees. I am trying human contact at 4, power at 6 and solid hits at 4.
