Okay I’m 20-9 so I can afford to play a couple games with HOF. I’ll let you know if the results.

I raised it to HOF hitting with human sliders at 6 for contact and power, 5 in timing and solid contact.

It was a pitcher’s duel with the game scoreless going to the 9th inning. Stanton hit a 2 our solo HR in the 9th and Chapman came in for his 10th save. I had a couple hard hit balls right to the middle infielders for outs. They would have been hits with All Star. I just worry about the BABIP getting too low.

      Yankees 1 6 0 1-HR, 0-BB, 8-K .227 BABIP
      Angels 0 6 0 2-2B, 1-BB, 9-K .261 BABIP

Montgomery got the no decision going 6 IP, 6 hits and 6 strikeouts with no walks. His pitch count got high and finished with 95 pitches in 6 innings.

I just played a game on HOF and only adjustments I made were power, CPU pitcher consistency and pitch speed to 5 and scored 8 in 11 innings, 8-7 win over Miami. for me pitch speed makes a big difference, so I can go with contact at 5 still, with power up just a tad as it is a bit harder to hit the sweet spot.

Took 3 deep and drew 5 walks, so keeping it with just the current OP adjustments for HOF, along with fielder speed at 3 which unlocked some nice animations. Going to get a few more games in, but I like it. Three of my hits were cheapies from poor contact, so force me to focus more.

And I will add again, strike zone 3 is such a great hitting view!

The Yankees traveled to Houston for a big 4 game series against the 1st place Astros. It was probably one of the best games I have played this season. Sabathia took the mound against Morton. Sabathia has been struggling lately with his ERA coming into tonight was 4.99. We were down 2-0 in the 5th when the Yankees offense woke up and scored 4 runs to take a 4-2 lead. Sabathia went back on the mound with the lead and quickly loaded the bases with nobody out thanks to two infield errors. Correa hit a grand slam to take a 6-4 lead. Houston added a run in the 6th to make it 7-4. Judge hit a solo shot in the 7th before Houston got the run back in the 8th to make it 8-5 going to the 9th. Houston brought in their closer Devenski and we had runners at first and second with 2 out and Judge hit a game tying 3 run homer to tie it at 8. Going to extra innings again. Houston hit a walk off HR in the 12th from Gattis to win it 9-8. Nice back and forth game

            Yankees 8 11 2 2-2B, 3-HR, 6-BB, 14-K .308 BABIP
            Astros 9 15 0 3-2B, 3-HR, 3-BB, 11-K .353 BABIP

Good feedback on bumping to HOF hitting and slider adjustments. Maybe I will continue on AS hitting testing to see what I can do to get the doubles down a tad while you tweak the HOF. I can maybe use that to input into my modifiers that has the user bump to HOF hitting or just go to HOF hitting altogether if that seems to produce a more realistic results.

I will take you suggestion and bump the Fielder Speed to 3 and see what that does. I will go back over the past several games where I had the speed at 2 and compare that to earlier games when it was at 5. I know reaction plays a key role too on how fast a player will break on the ball. I don't think it is the 4 causing that though from what I have seen.

Yes that was. So far in 3 games on HOF I am batting .240 with a .269 BABIP.

Just want to give some stats in the 3 games. I will play one game tomorrow morning.

                    BABIP: .269 (avg is .300)
Avg: .225 (I would like this around .260ish.)
1B: 15 65.2% (avg is 66.8% so right on par)
                    2B: 3 13% (avg is 19.6% so a little low)
3B: 0 0% (avg is 2.1% but we don’t have much speed so I’m not worried)
HR: 5 21.7% (avg is 11.6% so a little high. Need some of the HR to be doubles)
Extra Base hits from at bats: 8 7.8% (avg is 10%)
HR per game: 1.7 (maybe a tad bit high)
Strikeouts: 30 10.0 per game. I was averaging 6.0 in the first 30 games with AS.

                    Thoughts? I know it’s only 3 games.

I would ride it out to over 8-10 games, since you may go 2 games without a HR, I have series where I hit 2 home runs in 4 games, then games like the last one I played where I hit 4 in one using HOF settings in the OP.

I agree and I know it’s a small sample size. I just hope it gives me hit variety.

Had a fun one wrapping up a two game series against the hapless Marlins that went 10 innings. Tied at 2 when Sonny Gray gave up a solo blast. We tied it in the 8th on a wild pitch, then won it with 1 out in the 10th on a walkoff 2 run shot by Jacoby Ellsbury, making the rare start in place of Hicks.

                          MIA 3-7-1
                          NYY 5-8-1
                          MIA: 2B-1, HR-1, BB-2, K-10
                          NYY: 2B-1, HR-1, BB-5, K-11

Game was played with HOF hitting adjustments in OP, Yanks are now 13-5 and lead the Blue Jays by 1.5 and the Red Sox by 2 in the AL East. Next a 3 game set with 2nd place Toronto.

Judge is 2nd in MLB in HR with 10 (Josh Donaldson has 12) and RBI with 20. 10th in batting at .338 and 1st in runs scored, off to a great start!

First game against Toronto confirms that I am staying on the HOF hitting adjustments. I wanted to see an occasional game where I got totally shut down and this was it and the first game on HOF hitting that I felt overmatched after having good success in the first few games. Jaime Garcia and Sabathia were dueling, 1-1 when CC left after 7 and Betances then gave up a grand slam in the 8th, while Garcia pitched 2 hit ball through 8 innings and kept me off balance with a changeup and a tough slider. It was a wonderfully called game by the CPU from a pitching standpoint.

Bounced back from the series opening loss to the Jay as it was the Did Gregorious show. Didi went 4 for 4, 2 doubles and his first HR of the season, a 3 run shot that iced the game in the 8th.

Yankees are tied for the MLB lead with 31 homers through 20 games. Judge (10), Sanchez (7) and Stanton (6) account for 23 of them. Record 14-6.

The Yankees wrapped up their 7 game road trip and won the last 2 games of the series after losing the first two with the Astros. We walked out of there with a split in the 4 game series and finished the road trip 4-3. Should have won game 2 in Houston. Severino turned it around and pitched 1 run ball in 7 innings. Was up 3-1 in the 9th when Chapman gave up 2 solo HR to tie the game and we lost in the 10th on a walk off HR.

                                Game 2
                                Yankees 3 7 0 1-2B, 1-HR, 3-BB, 9-K
                                Astros 4 11 0 5-2B, 2-HR, 0-BB, 8-K

                                Game 3
                                Yankees 10 11 0 4-HR, 5-BB, 8-K
                                Astros 7 11 0 3-HR, 4-BB, 9-K

                                Game 4
                                Yankees 4 10 0 2-2B, 6-BB, 6-K
                                Astros 0 7 0 1-2B, 1-BB, 7-K
Nice game without any HR after both teams having 7 the game before.
